Super product!!
This mobile has been a life saver for my little guy. He has hated sleeping in his crib since day 1. Initially I followed the philosophy that a crib is for sleeping and should not have toys. However, since he wasn't "sleeping" there anyways, I had to do SOMETHING! I researched every mobile out there and a lot of the projector mobiles had bad reviews. This one had like 800 good reviews! At first my baby (4 1/2 months at the time) didn't seem to pay much attention to the entire thing. I would lay him down and he would roll right to his stomach. I thought - this was a waste of money - he can't see it on his stomach! After a few times now he is mesmerized by the music and light show. Sometimes at night when the room is dark I turn on the mobile and we watch it together in the glider to calm down. Other times I lay him in the crib and when his eyes are busy, I slip away. The mobile is brilliant in that it runs a nice long time. As it ends its cycle it doesn't just shut off. First the light projector shuts off while the mobile animals still spin and the music still plays. Then the animals stop spinning. Lastly, the music stops. Maybe all mobiles work like that, but I like it to keep baby lulled. The remote is great if the baby is still awake and I want to turn it back on without him seeing me. The plush animals are adorable. I wish the projected picture was a little cuter but baby doesn't care. It was easy to assemble and disassemble when I need to remove the mobile part to project onto the ceiling. I can see this getting a lot of use. I am very pleased with the quality! Now baby sleeps in his crib!

love it. Its one of the best things that I bought for my son.
i got this projection mobile as I wanted something that would help my son get entertained in the crib as he would hate to get into the crib during day time for his naps but also help him fall asleep without me. This was the perfect mobile as he likes to look at the lights and the projection of the animals. Also my son loves to talk to the animals and the fall asleep by himself. He has started taking afternoon naps in his crib which helps as he able to sleep longer.1/21/11 I have used this mobile for 3 months and still love it. My son loves to talk to his animals, coos and laughs when he wakes up instead of crying. He falls asleep in his crib listening to the music and watching the animals. I wish I had got this mobile earlier when he was born.Pros1. Good and relaxing music for baby.2. Projection feature very unique3. Has the option to have the music, heartbeat or 3 different nature sounds.4. Has a remote so you don't have to disturb the baby if it stops.5. Has option for music only, music and rotation and music, rotation and light.Cons1. Remote does not work if its not in direct line of sight.2. Could have off switch to turn off the music rather than using the remote or turn off the entire mobile.3. Requires 4D batteries and if used for 2 times a day for 20 min it lasts for one and half month.

Worth every penny!
We purchased the Fisher-Price Precious Planet Projection Mobile when my son was 8 weeks old. We've been using the mobile for almost 2 months now and we still absolutely love it! He loves watching the animals go around while he "talks" to them. The music always soothes him to sleep. In fact, he'll cry when the music turns off, but immediately stops when we turn it back on. The songs are annoying to Mom and Dad, in fact, my husband has commented that listening to the music through the baby monitor helps him drift off to sleep as well. The mobile runs for the full 20 minutes which is great. We use the mobile every night, and our batteries just needed changing after two months. Once the batteries wore down, it would only play for a few minutes. It's nice that there are three noise choices: music, rainforest, and heartbeat. We only use the music since our son loves it so much. He didn't seem impressed by the rainforest and he absolutely disliked the heartbeat. I love the fact that you can turn off the projection, so it only plays music or music and the mobile spins. And when the projection is on, it gives off a nice soft glow. Fisher-Price was smart and staggered the time when things shut off. First, the projection shuts off, then a little bit later the mobile stops spinning, and then a little bit after that the music stops. Since it doesn't shut off abruptly, it doesn't wake our sleeping boy. The mobile attaches securely to the side crib rail without any hassle. Our side crib rail has a curve in it, and it still attaches easily and securely. We don't use the remote very much since its just as easy to walk in the nursery and push the button again. The only time we use the remote is to easily turn the mobile off without having to shut off the switch. The stuffed animals are cute and hold my son's attention. They are nice colors and actually look like the animals they are meant to resemble. Overall, I highly recommend the Fisher-Price Precious Planet Projection Mobile.Pros:-Plays music continuously for 20 minutes-Projection is a nice feature, but it can be turned off to allow for just music and/or music/mobile-Attaches easily and securely to the crib rail (we have it attached to a side rail that has a curve in it with no problems)-Doesn't seem to wear down batteries too badly (finally had to change the batteries after two months)-The stuffed animals are cute-The music isn't annoying, but rather soothingThe only Con I can think of is the heartbeat sound. It's supposed to sound like the mother's heartbeat to soothe the baby as if they were still in the womb. It's a nice idea, especially for younger infants, but the heartbeat is too slow. It's actually abnormally slow, so it doesn't soothe a baby, at least not my baby.
