Not Suitable for Wheat, and Probably Anything Else
This mill ended up with a lot of metal particles on first few grinds.I used this exclusively for wheat (package and product description clearly stated can be used for wheat). I also used soft wheat. I gave it a fair amount of careful attention in making sure I don't grind metal against metal, but despite all the effort, the wheat coming out was nowhere fine enough for flour. As the product actually ended up being a food safety hazard due to metal present in the flour, I ended up returning. Amazon was very helpful in quickly sorting out and assisting me.Craftsmanship of the product is very low. Out of the box, the product came with a strong industrial oil odour. It's signal that manufacturing process has skipped on including a final cleaning process before last stage of production. That could be interpreted as one out of more skips to deliver good product. As you can see in the picture, the edge on the feeding mechanism, which is not related to any adjustable part you can control, has broken off while I was grinding soft wheat. All that large piece of metal has ended up being milled into whatever flour I was using. The metal alloy or the coating must not be this weak to drive grains towards the grinding plate in my opinion. This makes me think that even if I were using this for corn, it would still be unsuitable and a food safety issue.I would lay the charge of defectiveness of this product is inherent in the design and at feat of manufacturer. The coating which covers entire surface of the product, appears to have been applied as an iodized bath to the cast iron shell. Now when I wanted to clean the tool after its first use, I noticed, at most of the moving parts of the product with contact to grain, wherever there was flour ground against metal (in the joints and rotary mechanism which drives grain towards plates), that flour had turned into a metallic dust of grey colour, meaning it has actually rubbed off the finished coating of the mill on its way (and hence to your food). This is clearly a design flaw for the usage intended for this product.I informed Amazon's representatives, that this is actually a food safety hazard, and should not be sold to consumers at all. While they are processing this review into the product, go ahead and avoid buying this clearly defective product, and get something less risky to your food and health!

Verchromtes Eisen
Die Qualität erinnert an eine billige Chinaproduktion. Beim Mahlen wird eine Beschichtung abgerieben, die hat man dann im Mahlgut. Das Teil ging zurück.

FOOD SAFETY HAZARD! THIS ITEM IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN!
I wanted to return this the next day after delivery when I tested it out with corn kernels and coffee beans. I discover there is a food safety hazard issue with this machine. The metal comes off during , my coffee and corn had tiny sliver pieces in them. Read Kay's review, I had the same issue with my machine...not a one off thing. I can't return it ...NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN according to Amazon.Furthermore, this machine can not grind wheat, corn, or any other grains into flour. It only grinds to the size of couscous grain, also it destroyed the side of my kitchen counter because I had to use force to even get the corn through. Definitely not made to use as a flour mill. THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION IS FALSE. I'm starting to lose my trust in Amazon. I'll give ZERO star if the option was available.FOOD SAFETY HAZARD! THIS MACHINE IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN.

Hazardous disappointment – potential design flaw
I was happy with the product the first two or three times I used it. I hand washed it and oiled it thoroughly each time immediately afterwards. However, today I used it to grind corn into Mexican masa, like before, and after I was a good way into it I began to notice the color changing. The first picture is the masa from inside, which had metal rubbed into it. The second picture is the source of the problem, the metal piece which has been rubbed and exposed below the tin coat by the design of the piece shown in the third picture. The iron waste had spread throughout the entire inside of the mill. If it wasn't for this problem, this would be a fine product with a very fair price. But after what happened today, my meal and my molino are ruined. My use was limited to what was advertised on the box and I took a lot of care in using it and assembling it.Other customers seem to experience rust problems. This can be avoided by throughly drying it and then applying oil to every surface. My problem is different and I hope it reflects a one time production problem. I'm contacting customer service to figure out a return or refund solution and may order a new one with the hope it doesn't have the problem this one did.
