Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers: The Rise of Motoerhead

Great read
A book just on the Lemmy Phil Eddie line up. This book differs to most on the subject of Motorhead in that it is refreshingly free of the whole " louder than a plane full of pigs crashing into an atom bomb" type of nonsense. There was actually more to this band than whizz and volume and this book does a good job of saying so. I happily admit to having been totally obsessed with Motorhead throughout this period...but i still learned loads about the band...how they bussed from counterculture to TOTP and then shot themselves in each other's feet. There were no winners...but the pleasure is to play innit?Best book on Motorhead that I've read.

Excellent book. Never got to see this line up ...
Excellent book.Never got to see this line up (first Motorhead gig was in 1984) so it was interesting to read Fast Eddie and Philthy's version of events as well as Lemmy's. Every Motorhead fan should have a copy
