Great cushioning support
I had the previous version, also washable but the fabric wore off after two years use, which is great. This version is leather like so I am hoping it will last longer. It has a lot more cushion too

Does not fit Freestyle 2 perfectly!
So the pads come pre installed to a plastic base. The base does not fit the freestyle 2. I needed the pads because the factory kinesis pads are thin scratchy and leaves red ittiration marks. I ripped the pads from the base that was sent( attached by velcro) and added them to the orginal base on my keyboard. It has soft leather like material, foam padding, and not super thick like other replacement pads. Lets give this try!

Too large, not compatible with lifters
I've used Kinesis products in the past, but I wasn't happy with this. The lifts are too large making it hard to type, and these arm rests aren't compatible with the V3 Pro lifters. I had to return them.

Bought as replacements for my Kinesis Gaming keyboard (works perfectly)
I've had my kinesis gaming split keyboard for 5ish years now, and the old-style gel pads which were covered with a cloth material were quite due for replacement. I was worried because there's nothing on Kinesis's sister site for that keyboard; you cannot order replacements for the old keyboards. Then I found these, and studied the pictures and it appeared that the body of the Freestyle Pro and the Gaming versions were identical. Happily for me, this is correct. These are much nicer than the older ones, albeit GROSSLY overpriced. They are honestly puffier than I'd otherwise prefer (the old style was a bit flatter, whereas these are a rounded pillow style and so it tips your hand backwards a little bit, which I don't like, although I've adapted at this point). The silicone/neoprene material that covers these is much nicer than the old style, and they are easy to clean. I'm happy this all worked out.But if you have the gaming style KB, rest assured, these are an exact match and clip on perfectly just like the old pads.

I found them too plush / resistant
I love the Kinesis Freestyle keyboards, which cured me of a typing RSI I was having. And I find that I need palm supports. So I was really interested in potentially upgrading from the simple plastic rests of my original freestyle to these supports with the extra cushioning. But I've found that I really, really do not like the cushions that came with the kit. First: I find my wrists getting pulled at, which is BAD. Why? The supports are at a downward slope, and the plastic is so smooth (such low friction) that my wrist wants to slip. Not good. Second: I dislike the height at which the pads place my wrist - my palm ends up across from the tops of the keys, which interferes with my typing. Also, not good. The redeeming feature is that these pads are velcro'd on, so I can work without them. But for my wrists, these things were absolutely a disappointment.-- The basic plastic wrist support is adequate. But a little bit of extra padding (or perhaps none), not a bunch of smooth padding, would have been better for me it seems.

Too slippery!
The padding is perfect, but the smooth plastic wrapping is a bit too smooth. When the keyboard is tented, my hands have a tendency to slip away from where I need them.

Does not work with the tenting kit
Can't install both these and the tenting kit, sadly. Otherwise felt nice.

Same quality as original, just vinyl convered
Foam collapses and retains the dent.
