It really works! Do exactly what the instructions say and it will work. My hair was a little dry but I added hydrating mousse to it. My color lasted for 8 days. I went on a 8 day cruise. I loved it. No transfer.

Goes on vibrant and smooth. Does not dry hard. Will transfer to fabrics so I wear a scarf to bed. Washes out very easy. I wet my hair daily so I reapply every two days. Did not damage my fragile grayish mature kinky hair in any way.

This stuff really works! I washed my hair, deep conditioned it, and sat under a hooded dryer for 35 miniutes prior to applying the product.Once it was fully worked into my hair I sat under the dryer again for another 35 minutes.My hair was 95% dry when I took the after pictures.There was no transfer of color to my clothes.My only con is that my hair feels crispy and crunchy. Maybe it'll soften over the next few days.

I have dark brown/black hair. The product DID NOT color my hair.

I want to preface this by saying I have loved every As I Am product I’ve ever used. Except for this one, lol. It smells great, and that’s honestly all I liked about it. It transfers A LOT while your hair is drying, strongly recommend you use a towel or cape around your shoulders if you decide to use this product. I used it for a wash and go, and it took my hair about an extra 30-45 minutes to dry. Once dry it transferred significantly less, but it made my hair have that crunchy gel feel which I do NOT like. If you like definition over volume, this is the product for you. I could barely tell the difference with this stuff once I was out and about and I was left a little disappointed. I will try again with a different approach, but my first impression isn’t a great one.

This product definitely delivered! It was for my son’s very dark curly hair. The color really came through and stayed for the time it says it will. We love it and will likely buy more colors.

tried this after two years and absolutely loved the look! It gave great definition, mostly survived three days of florida beach water, and washed easily in the shower! make sure you let it dry :)definitely possible that I need to try again, but this just did not hit the mark for me. The color is literally gold, so do not expect anything different. I used all As I Am products for a flexi rod set, the product took a VERY (more than a full day, even after hood dryer) long time to dry and did not hold for me. Of course, this could also be due to the texture of my hair I did not experience much color transfer, so that was great. But, I washed this out literally the next morning, which was also easy to do. I did two washes to be sure the product was out, but the majority definitely washed out on the first go around. Wishing you a better experience :)

The idea is great but the execution, not so much. If you have really dark hair you have to put a lot to even be able to see it, but unless your hair is also really thick the product will build up too much and become cakey. It also transfers to your hands and clothes even once your hair is dry.
