There's nothing to beat a feather duvet. This is light, warm and cosy. Unlike hollow-fibre this drops into any air spaces making it much more efficient. Although described as a summer duvet, I'm using it in a Highlands Winter, in an unheated room when there can be frost outside. Even then it can be a little too warm at times. An excellent purchase and thoroughly recommended.

I've never heard of Littens before and have had little success in finding who sells them apart from Amazon.I was pleased with the next day delivery, and was pleasantly surprised at how warm the quilt was when I first used it. There was no comparison with my old Debenhams quilt which had the same construction and rating. This was getting a bit old (nearly 10 years!) and a bit flat.I find that a 4.5 tog in winter is fine, and a 1 tog in summer is just right. This Littens quilt is quite bulky when unpacked, and had a crackling noise when moved. Luckliy it doesn't trouble my sleep.Update:The rating was reduced from 4 stars to 2 stars as the quilt was far too warm. When a find that a 4.5 tog is too warm in February then what would it be like in the summer? The packaging and quilt were both marked 4.5, but the quilt was far more bulky than my old 4.5 tog. I suspect that the actual tog rating was far higher than 4.5. Needless to say I've replaced the quilt with another of a better known make. I won't be buying Littens again.
