Q: Do these make the same horrible noise on metal clothing bars as normal wire hangers?

Not sure what horrible noise you are speaking of, but these hangers have a coating on them, so it is not metal on metal. I don't recall hearing any noise when sliding them around.

Q: One reviewer mentioned a "slippery coating" that needs to be removed. More details on this, please?

I don't consider the coating slippery. I like the different colors.

Q: Does the batch of hangers really include many different colors as pictured - blue, white, blue, red, green?

I didn't receive green. The colors were white, two shades of blue and two shades of pink/fuchsia. I am pleased with the colors!

Q: Will they bend if you hang pants on them?

They do bend some, they are best for tops and dresses, but I do hang my lighter weight pants on them without a problem.
