FluvalSpec Foam Filter Block, Replacement Aquarium Filter Media, A1376, Large Breeds

The same as the original that came with the 5 gal tank I just love and it works amazing well along with the charcoal and ceramic filters (3). Love Fluval; quality all the way. I just bought their all in one 34 gal tank with a similar setup because I was so impressed with this type of hidden filtration that is awesome and keeping the water clean.

Direct replacement for clogged Fluval Spec filter, had a snail population explosion, didnt want to reuse anything in the tank for fear of the buggers coming back. Ordered this to replace the old filter & perfect fit.

Great sponge filter, last a long time in between cleanings

This part I ordered to have on hand for a 6 gallon Fluval Spec model desktop tank in case of emergency or regular breakdown. The Spec tank has a very small foot print of 6.75 deep by 19.75 wide. It comes with a filter, activated carbon stocking, a bio bead stocking (albeit with no air running through them-you have to add separately), a powerful water circulating pump that even on the slowest speed is to strong, but it does have an excellent LED light bar that fully lights uo every inch of the tank. The light bar has two switchable modes both daylight white and moonlight blue. It also comes with a top cover. Everything you need but an air pump and air stone. I would only recommend this tank for someone who has minimal time for tank maintenance. That said it IS an attractive little tank kit.I left this review of the kit for anyone wanting to know the size of the tank at the time I purchased it the dimensions were not stated. To be a little helpful I did speak about the kit and will leave it there in case the items page still hasn't been updated. So to entertain the less intelligent out there. After 11 months of use.The foam filter is: GoodThe bio beads: GoodThe light bar: GoodThe tank: GoodAll is good there Drakkenfyre, even the separately purchased air pump it's still good too.

I wish there were a 3rd media section. I had to cut one out my self to use in my fluval spec tank.. over all it’s held up for going on a year now and works great.

The foam block is easy to clean. It has open spaces for the carbon and biomax packs.

Exactly the one I needed for my fluval tank. Easy to use, easy to clean. My last one lasted 6 months with proper care. Just ready for a new one
