One major flaw-company won't respond.
My 7 year old loved this set when we first got it. He played with every day, but we soon learned the tabs that hold the pieces together break easily. I first thought he was not being careful, but even when I carefully tried to attach or remove pieces the tabs would break. We tried to email the manufacturer, but got no response. The set can't be put together completely without all of the pieces. I emailed them a second time a little over a month ago and still no response. This is a really fun concept, but this one weakness takes all of the fun out of it. I hope they figure out how to make connections that don't break. The vehicles are well made and really creative.

Great Quality product worth the price.
This is a terrific toy. Our 10 and 11 year old boys love it, but even a 2 year old visiting fell in love with it. It's VERY well made. Which is a rarity for toys today. The only thing to think about is that you do need quite a bit of floor space to set things up if you have a couple of the sets. I love the feature were if the battery operated components are not used for a certain amount of time they turn off on their own ! Thank you, this is a great features as kids don't care to think how much batteries cost ! no matter how much you remind them to. I would love to see them go onto the next step where things start working a bit more interdependently on their own. Like if a bucket is full of "rocks" it calls up a truck that then automatically can go and take the rocks.

Prepare to keep spending.
Rokenbok makes a sturdy, fun building set but you will quickly find that you need more parts to get creative with your own building ideas. The train, controller & elevator work nicely and are easy even for a young child to control. However, we have more actual, creative fun with snapping the track bits together into other structures. My 5 year old struggles with snapping & un-snapping some of the joinery so that can be high maintenance at times; an older child would likely have no problem. I wish Rokenbok was a bit more affordably priced, since they are rather addictive and you will most likely want more.

Great toy for kids on the Autism Spectrum
We bought this for our son this year. He has is 10 years old, has autism and has limited expressive language skills. He is the one who discovered this toy on YouTube. He wrote it down on his very first written "open presents" list aka Christmas List. We ordered it hoping it would be a toy he would interact with....well, not only did he interact but played for HOURS without being distracted by his iPad or other videos!!! This is a first for him! We are so grateful to be able to play along with him. He learned how to use the remote control after we demonstrated it. A blessed Christmas for sure!! Thank you so very much for this fantastic toy! I pray other families with kids on the spectrum can get the same experience as we did.

the 7 and 4 year old's love it, have learned the remotes
Way too expensive and made more so by not giving buyer the option of not purchasing unneeded parts that come with other sets. That said, the 7 and 4 year old's love it, have learned the remotes, and use it with other sets.

Five Stars
Excellent product! I bought it for my five year old nephew. It is a great system to build on when the child grows and develops and compels cognitive thinking and skills on how things work and how to build on what one already knows. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it. And, it won't be tossed aside any time soon!Get it! I would rarely endorse a toy!Enjoy and Learn!!!!
