I have been trying to find a clip that will replace my current one...my hair is down to my lower back...I can twist my hair up and clip it in the thinnest section with this clip...

I am Portuguese, Filipino, and Chinese which means I have very thick hair. I recently cut it into a blunt bob. It's long enough to pull back but sticks straight out when using a typical hairband. I was looking for a clip to not only hold my hair but to shape it in a non-pippy-longstocking sort of way. I ordered 2 different clips and this one was successful.

I had high expectations for this barrette after reading the other reviews. The packaging was nice and the little net bag was charming. I have thick hair, and this seemed like it would be perfect. Judging from everyone else's experience, I think I must have gotten a rare defective product. It has a lot going for it and is very attractive, but it broke as soon as I put it in my hair. The closure bar snapped right off. I wa stunned to put it mildly. Amazon is great about returns, so this gets mailed tomorrow. I would much rather have gotten a good one, but this one was not. My search for the perfect barrette continues. I will probably try another brand. This was more expensive, so I expected more from it.

I've tried many barrettes in my long thick hair, only to have them pop off. Finally, THIS barrette holds ALL of my hair without ever popping off!!! It's very solid and sturdy. I love it!!!!

Well made, easy to put in, holds well. Perfect. It looks like a very expensive clip, and were it not for the cost I would buy more

Beautiful barrette for thick hair! I have straight thick hair and have trouble finding barrettes that fit. This barrette easily accomodated my hair. It is also lovely and will look very professional for work.
