Fairly easy to put up and did stand up to high winds at the beach.

Best tent for the money! Easy to carry, set up, and disassemble.

Get this one! I ordered this one based off of reviews and also I needed it the next day. It arrived on time and we looked over the instructions and took all the plastic off the night before we went to the beach so we knew how it worked. We set it up just as high tide was receding and it was rough out! Really windy and I wasn’t sure it would come together. The tent next to us had to stay down low because it was so windy. But ours went up quickly and stayed up without adjusting for hours. As you can see from the photo we had lots of room! The people on the other side from us had a tiny umbrella and got the info on what we had because it was so much better and went up so quick. Packing it up went even faster. Just unhook the poles, dump the sand and put it all in the bag. GET THIS ONE!

We used this for a week at the Florida Beaches. Easy set up. Lightweight. Doesn’t hold sand. Makes a nice shade BUT the SPF 50 material lets through quite a bit of sun. We had a couple of people get sunburnt through the tent on the first day. I would like to see the tent carry bag be a backpack design. Overall, good value. We’ll store it and bring it back next summer.

Awesome at beach. Easy to set up

This shade was exactly what I was looking for! We are going to be taking 4 adults and 1 child to the beach and I needed something that would provide enough shade of all of us but would also fit in a suitcase so we could can take it on an airplane. We always just buy an umbrella when we get somewhere, but it seems so wasteful. Everything came in a black bag (pictured with a Stanley cup for size comparison) and was well packaged. The bag is small enough to fit in our larger luggage, but is big enough that the shade doesn't have to be folded a special way to fit. I set the entire thing up in my backyard just to try it out and it was very easy! I am about 5'3'' and I was able to do all of the steps by myself (even reaching the top of the poles). I was also able to stand up under the tent without bending over. My husband is taller than me and he was also able to stand up under the tent, although he did have to bend a little at the lowest parts. At first I was a little frustrated by the directions being vague about where the poles go, but once I tried it I realized its pretty forgiving about where you place them. The spikes that come for putting this in the ground vs the sand worked really well but some came out a little bent after one use. The directions also say to put the poles in the ground but that wasn't really possible in the grass. Even without this the tent stayed up throughout a moderately windy day. I can't wait to take this to the beach to try it out!

Make sure you are able to make a pretty deep hole to mount the legs in otherwise it won't stay up. The built in sandbags is a clever idea and it will keep it from blowing away but it won't stay upright unless you have good holes to put the legs in.
