Very delicate and cheap construction. For the price, expected these to be better constructed and more durable. All that aside, I like them much better than the traditional ifr foggles. They protect my eyes (like sunglasses) much better when flying into sun and provide a better visual experience inside the cockpit.

This IFR hood seemed like a promising design but was a disappointment for me. The price was quite high for something so cheaply made. But I'd have been glad to have it anyway if there was any way to adjust them to fit my face and stay in place. Note there is no adjustment possible. I'm a small woman and an instrument pilot so this is both a common problem for me and a frustrating one. It's not my first impractical and totally unusable IFR hood. It's hard to stay instrument current even in my own, familiar airplane with blind spots on the panel because the hood slips down my nose. Can't somebody design a hood that fits a smaller face and stays put? I sent this one back even though I had to pay the return shipping.
