Works well if sealed properly
(My following comments could very well pertain to any product of this kind)I like this product but it must be sealed adequately. The self-adhesive backing may be OK for a totally flat floor, but if there are any bumps, cracks, whatever, even little ones, it will not stop the water.I had an uneven floor and ended up having to seal it with a bead of clear silicone along both sides. This would apply if spanning tile joints as well. When installed like this and when set, it worked 100%.Although I achieved a good bond, I found it messy and difficult to install. I think you will be lucky to get a good seal first time around with just the adhesive already attached to the strip.Another thing I noticed when I first tried using the supplied adhesive was that it was not applied right up to the edges of the sides of the strip, and when removed I saw that it would be easy for undesirable residue to accumulate along the edges.I think it is overpriced for what it is (not just this brand but this type of item in general) but when the situation demands, it will work in keeping water contained.I'm giving it 4 stars as it helped me out of a situation.

Shower barrier
Adhesion good if you clean area first with alcohol. This is really important, even if shower is brand new. Keeps water in, IF the shower curtain is totally behind collapsible threshold. Water will leak outside barrier if curtain is behind barrier. Don’t know how it will work if you use no shower curtain. So, it can be great, but can be useless if the “ifs”are not strictly followed. Have used this for a week, went by all my suggestions. Does not keep the water in the shower, but somehow leaks out. Think it’s just too low. Am returning for a higher barrier wall.

Works well then doesn't
I cleaned the floor throughly, then washed with alcohol, and let dry. I put the dam down and it adhered well. The first time we used the shower it restricted the water just like you'd want it to.But the subsequen rolling over with a wheelchair caused it to not keep the water back and it leaked underneath. And the next three times it leaked too. It's fine as long as you done roll over it too many times witha wheelchair or electric scooter...then it will fail.

Keep water in shower
This was the perfect fix for us. We have a walk in shower with a flat drain by the edge of the shower where the door would be. Water was flowing out and getting under the baseboards. This keeps the water in the shower. Yet you can step on it and it bounces back. Very happy with purchase.

exactly what was needed
This was perfect. My mom has a walk-in shower and water was running out on to the floor. Not being stable (we got her a shower chair) I purchased this to hopefully keep the floor dry. I was easy to cut, the adhesive was very strong and the clear chalk /silicone? was easy to apply. Very happy with my purchase
