Laila rice is exactly same as Himalya basmati rice, it just different packaging. As I have been using Himalya for long time, so I like trying using different brand too.. so I found that they both same. Just £2 differences in price and packaging wise. You will get same taste use either.One of the best basmati rice I’ve tried. Once cooked they are three times the size. Love them taste amazing!However it's good rice, especially if bought on sale as I don't think it's worth full price. I suggest using less water than you normally do when cooking this rice to avoid mushy rice.

I say this rice is okay, only because I am comparing it to sella basmati rice I got before this one. It tastes great but have to be careful not to cook with too much water (use less water than for sella rice) so it does not come out mushy. Once you figure out how to properly cook it, it's delicious and fluffy.I still prefer sella rice for certain Nigerian dishes though but this one can be made to work. Good value too.

this is the best rice I have ever used, so easy to cook and a lovely flavour when cooked, I have been using mine for currys bit personally \i think it is idesl for any rice dish.

Good product at a reasonable price

I buy rice in large bags as it keeps wonderfully and as we cook with rice once a week so it just saves so much money than buying by the bag in the supermarket.This rice is delicious, has a great taste and a perfect fluffy texture when cooked. Here's how:1.Add 2 cups of water to your pan and bring to the boil.2. Add 1 cup of rice (no need to wash)3. STir and cover with the pan lid.4. Turn the heat down to 4/10 or 40% on your cooker hob so it doesn't boil over but keeps a steady boil.5. Set a timer for 14 minutes, and hey presto - perfect fluffy rice that you don't need to drain.6. Serve straight from the saucepanTrust me, I'm a cooking Mumma!
