Helios Clematis - Tangutica -The Best Yellow - 2.5" Pot

I planted it as soon as received. Waited for two weeks for it to take off. It never did grow any new shoots and after two weeks, it simply dried and died.I am tempted to try again (this time, two plants) to be on opposite side of a tall trellis, but I have my doubts. I don't want to lose money again especially that the supplier does not , as far as I know do replacements within a warranty period.

I feel like the seller did the best they could with shipment but the soil was spilled from the pots. The plants are very small and were damaged.

received awhile ago...didnt look good when i received it...niether did the other one i had bought..hope they come back next year..dont know what happened...i have a good many of clematis's so dont know what it was..

I thought it was on the small side for a clematis. A clematis needs to be further along (as in roots showing thru the pot) before it can be sure to thrive in a new planting situation. I planted it right away and it has done nothing more than survive so far. It has adequate water and good soil so I'll be patient. On the plus side, I couldn't find this particular cultivar locally so I was happy to have a tangutica delivered to my home.

I love what they look like. Mine is growning, but has not bloomed. Waiting for that.
