Adapts a 100 pounder tank so I can connect my generator.
Electric supply getting less reliable than 50 years ago - wtf? Well, when the power lines were run to rural areas in the forties and fifties, they took the most direct route from farm to farm - over hill and under dale, and mostly through cowpastures. Now marginal pasture has grown up in thick second growth, and as the trees compete, the less successful die and fall over, often on the power lines as they reach into open areas seeking sunlight.SO now we have something we never did - a generator, propane powered, and I bought a hundred-pounder propane tank so we'd have at least a couple weeks' worth running it a couple of hours morning and evening. And this little piece of machined brass, thank you my worthy Chinese brethren, allows connecting the generator to the large tank.Top notch!

THIS IS NOT A QCC1 CONNECTOR
This is a simple piece of brass with POL threads on one end and ACME threads on the other, with a big hole in the center. THAT'S IT. It is NOT a QCC1 valve. In other words, if you connect this to a propane tank with a POL, then open the handle, you'll get full pressure propane shooting out of the tank.A real QCC1 connector has a check valve that will NOT let propane flow unless something is connected. This is a safety feature of the QCC1 connector. Without this feature, it is NOT A TRUE QCC1 CONNECTOR. Also this does not have the correct type of seal. Will it work at the end of the world? Yes, I suppose so, but if you forget to turn of the handle, or you turn the handle on without thinking, then you will have a huge propane leak, unlike a normal propane tank.
