Cute but messy
I bought this for my 6 year old two months ago and she loves it. Parents definitely need to help with pouring the glitter because it can go everywhere. The shelf you are supposed to put the potions on is very tiny and it’s easy to knock things over. It comes with a “recipe book” that gives different potions which is helpful and fun when you first start out.The corks don’t stay in great. My three year old pulled one out and glitter water went everywhere. We have about two bottles left to make potions with so I guess you’re just supposed to dump everything out and start over when you’re out of the bottles.

Messy but 4 year old loves it
Great fun for my 4 year old who believes in fairies. Definitely required parent participation though unless you want glitter everywhere. Still, my daughter ran around shaking her potions and welcoming the fairies.

Think before you make the potions....
My soon to be 10 year old grand daughter loved this kit! I loved watching her do it. She was able to do it all on her own. The only struggle she had was using the "unicorn hair". It's strands of iridescent cellophane and hard to get into the bottle. We ended up wrapping it around a finger then pulling it off into a tight bundle then stuffing it in.There is plenty of supplies to make all the bottles too. We have some left over and will look for empty bottles to make more. The only negative I thought was that you need to plan this out. You get enough to make 9 bottles. 5 of them are large and 4 small (going on memory so I could be wrong about how they are divided up). The chunky pieces like the plastic unicorn horn and flower will NOT fit into the smaller bottles. So save any potion that uses them for the large bottles. My grand daughter was down to 1 large bottle and 3 small bottles when it occurred to me that those chunky pieces were not going to fit into the little bottles. Luckily we had 1 large left though.Overall, it was a hit! Just pre plan which potions you will be making based on bottle size and ingredients and all will work out perfectly.

Wonderful but Don't Follow Directions
This gift was the highlight of the birthday. We made so many potions we had to order more bottles on Amazon to continue making them! 20mL bottles are about the same size as the plastic ones that come with the set, but they are only easy to find in glass versions.Things to be aware of:There are more recipes in the recipe book than bottles to make them in. We bought extra 20mL bottles with next day delivery so we could make more! The glow in the dark sand tends to stick in a clump in the corner of the bottles even when you shake it up. Maybe try stirring it with a straw or something before finishing? Will have to try that next time. The directions say to add the beads and such after the water, but I strongly recommend that if you are going to add the "unicorn hair," you do that first. It's long strands of plasticy ribbon. I had luck with gathering all strands being used together, doubling them over and over into a tight bundle, sticking it in, and then using the little bottle from a glitter ingredient to shove it into the potion bottle. It's a pain, but it really has a neat effect in the potions by keeping some of the glitter suspended throughout the bottle. But there's absolutely no way I'd want to try putting the unicorn hair in AFTER the rest of the potion was made.

Awesome purchase
My 8 year old loved this, she loved comming up with potion names and we were even able to make stories about and with them. I would recommend help from an adult and laying down some news paper to protect surfaces as the dyes seem to stain. Will probably purchase again 😁

A little pricey for what it is
My granddaughter really like the kit as a birthday gift - 8 years old. Value as the purchaser, not so great. Smile on my granddaughter's face = 100%.

Missing pieces
Super cute craft, and my daughter was SO excited to do it. HOWEVER, there were two corks missing and therefore we could not do two of the potions. Super annoying and disappointing, especially considering the price.Daughter really liked the craft, it's a super cute idea and fun to do, but probably wouldn't order again due to poor quality control.UPDATE: Customer Service has responded to the fact that we had missing pieces and are working to rectify the issue. Greatly appreciated!

Needs big bottles for all potions
Great craft, my daughter loved it. But the small bottles are way too small!
