A LIFESAVER - literally!
We care for a lot of dogs through a rescue and sometimes end up with orphaned pups. We recently had a litter of 2 -12 hour old German Shepherd puppies come in (the others' didn't make it :( ). They're a month old today (hurray) and have been living exclusively on PetLac formula. They've been getting teeth in this past week, so are now starting to be weaned onto puppy gruel (formula + high end wet puppy food). We've used this brand a number of times now and have never had any issues with tummy troubles. It makes up easily, the puppies all seem to enjoy their meal times (down to 3 times a day now - more hurrahs!), and they're gaining weight and developing as per normal.Just know that if you are feeding newborns, that you will need a LOT of formula - It'd be nice if it came in larger containers. Currently, between the two of them, they're going through a can every 3 days and that's with the added wet food! Of course, it'll vary a bit by puppy weight.Just as an aside, for the first few weeks, we use Miracle Nipples with 4 ounce feeding bottles (NOT the syringes they come with as they don't hold enough formula for a full feeding). The Miracle Nipples are as close to mama as we can get and the pups learn to latch on quickly. We heat up the formula with hot water (not boiling and NO using a microwave). Also, the Miracle Nipples fit OVER the top of the bottle cap, not up through it, so there's less chance of the pups inhaling formula.Good stuff - the puppies are healthy and happy! (And super adorable!) :o)

Pricey, but worth it.
We had a pregnant rescue dog, who gave birth to 10 pups. She was thin to start with. 2 pups died, 8 did extremely well, with us supplimenting them with this formula--1st in bottles, then added to their puppy kibble, to soften it. Momma was thin and malnourished/ overwhelmed with feeding all 8 pups and began to "wean" them at 3 and 1/2 weeks old. They are still gobbling their kibble up, with this stuff poured in with it, at 5 weeks of age. All have tripled in size just over the last 2.5 weeks. Playing/wrestling/running around, and plump/alert. I would estimate they are 3.5 to 4 pounds each now, at 6 weeks old, on Oct. 25th.

Puppys enjoy PetLac as a great substitute for mom's milk.
I'm using PetLax to mix with puppy food to wean puppies from their mom over several weeks. It's very easy to use, just add water and mix with softened puppy food. They seem to love it.

Pups took it
The pups take it when they're really hungry, otherwise they don't prefer it. 1 can was open and we had to throw it away, tried to message the seller.Glad to have it on hand though

Great Nutrition and Taste for Puppies!
My puppies love love love this milk!!! When the mama dog gets slack on feeding the puppies, we use this milk. They lap it up so fast and fall right to sleep especially if you use warm water. It also makes the puppies grow bigger faster.
