Stunner!
It’s gorgeous! We previously purchased a smaller real flame fire place, and were thrilled with it, so this one seemed like a no brainer! It’s gorgeous in person! The flame options are better than the one we already have! Assembly was quick and easy! Came in 2 boxes on 2 different days. There is one channel and bolt that don’t lock together, but because of its location it isn’t structurally a problem for us. I wish they came with log crackling noise built in, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Over all it’s a 10 out of 10!

A pleasant surprise
So far I am pleased. Assembly was a bit of a bear since the various pieces are heavy. It is definitely a job for two people. Advice to anyone doing this is to assemble the unit as close to the final spot as possible, still allowing room in the back for inserting the fire box. The sticker came off like a charm, so the company addressed that. One of the joints needed a bit of touch up with caulking, but it doesn't seem a big deal. The paint job is fine, not rustic as some people have mentioned. Overall, it looks nice. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the heater seems relatively quiet. I cannot judge the heat output yet; it wasn't cold enough. It looks nice in our basement family room.

Sticker no longer an issue
Arrived in 2 packages via FedEx within a week, solid sturdy packaging and no damage. The issues previous reviews mentioned about difficult to remove sticker on the glass has been resolved, it’s more of a static type sticker now that comes off clean and easy. Took 15-20 minutes to assemble unit, no tools required, however I did take the extra time to chisel the baseboard so it sits flush to the wall. It makes all the difference for a built in look. Leave all the hardware finger tight, square up, and then tighten the wing nuts. I used a wing nut wrench to snug just a touch more then my fingers could turn. Fireplace remote Doesn’t interfere with my Directv remote or Samsung TV remote. Perfect addition to our bedroom, provides great heat, has a forced air fan to move heat around room, and has a timer. Great product, wish it wasn’t built in China 🇨🇳, seems like Amana and the good folks in Iowa could make these units all day long for same reasonable price.

Better than we expected..
We've only had it a week but so far we are very happy with the purchase. Fireplace unit has a nice finish, solid, level, easy to put together. If you aren't "handy" it may take you a while to figure things out, but you don't even need tools; all thumbscrews and all the same size. I put it together in about 25 minutes. The flames are as advertised, lots of options and pretty realistic. The remote is a nice touch. The heater and fan are very quiet, especially compared to most electric heaters of similar wattage. In a small room it would be very efficient. Our room is fairly large with a cathedral ceiling, so it took about an hour before it registered a change on the thermometer. One nice detail is the middle rail is standard chair rail height, so if you have an existing chair rail it fits right in. I don't know how much better/realistic the flames are on the high end versions, but at a third the price we'll take our chances....

Missing hardware:-(
Update: We received the hardware pack, got the fireplace together & are very happy with it! My husband is actually pleased with the looks of it & he's not impressed with much, & was totally against buying a fake fireplace, but now he admits it makes an impressive focal point in our otherwise bland living room. We love the cozy ambiance & I'm already enjoying having a mantle to set cute seasonal décor & knick-knacks on. Unfortunately, other reviewers are right about the seams not fitting flush, we debated about caulking but decided against it because he said sometimes caulk can make things look worse, & also white caulk will eventually discolor & look awful. A couple of the separation areas are fairly significant but hopefully any visitors won't get right up to it to notice. There were no black marks, dents or damage to the fireplace once we got everything together, so very happy about that. Our television is in a different direction than the fireplace so the remote controls screwing each other up hasn't been a problem for us. The screws & washers are black coated with something & that black residue will coat your fingers as your putting things together, so I had a wet rag handy for hubby to wipe his hands after handling every screw otherwise there would've been black marks all over my white fireplace & the carpet & anything else he touched., the heat function works fine, you only feel the heat if your standing right up to the output vent so its not significant, however I didn't buy it for the heat, just the ambiance. I'm changing my overall rating from 3 to 4. So far, the big negative is the seams not fitting flush & its quite noticeable, for what it cost, this thing should be perfect. We just received this fireplace today. I have wanted an electric fireplace for years just for the coziness it provides, not so much for the heating function. I researched every website that carried them & finally decided on this one. After reading reviews from many websites for all different brands of fireplaces, I was terrified it would be delivered with damage. We unpacked the boxes slowly, looking at each piece carefully for chunks missing, but didn't find any damage (yet). Unfortunately once we carried all the pieces to the living room & looked over the instructions, we quickly realized the hardware was missing. We searched through all the boxes & looked to see if the package of screws & washers were taped behind a piece of something but nope. Finally called the 800 number of the manufacturer (real flame) there's a big notice with the instructions to call this number if anything is damaged or missing instead of calling the store of purchase. I got ahold of a customer service lady who told me exactly where the package of hardware should be (in the same bag as instructions), but I told her no, we got a baggie with the instructions but no hardware in said baggie. She was surprised it was missing. She asked if I wanted her to send out the hardware or if we would rather go & buy those parts ourselves, she assured me any hardware store would have them. We asked her to send the hardware, after all, we paid quite a bit for a piece of furniture which should contain all the parts needed. Besides, its blizzarding where we are & 20 minutes from town. I understand she just thought we didn't want to wait another week to set up our new fireplace but I've waited years for one I can wait another week for the right hardware. We went ahead & tried out the firebox though just to see what it looked like. We have it sitting on top of what's going to be the mantle lol, (with a towel laying on the mantle so it doesn't get scratched). We played with the different settings on the remote, the functions seem to work according to the remote instructions. We've seen a lot of fake fireplaces & we can all agree there are some that look more realistic than others. We're pleasantly surprised with this one so far. Its not the best but we've seen lots worse.Once we get the hardware to put it together, I will come back & update my review accordingly. I don't know at this point if the mantle portion is damage-free or not. We looked while we unpacked but getting it together will tell the story, I read many reviews in regards to the pieces not fitting together & folks needing to caulk, so I'll update on those things. The other thing was that awful sticker on the front glass. After reading peoples' struggles we had a plan of action. I grabbed my trusty blow dryer. Hubby heated up the sticker for a good 5 minutes, then he took a razor blade to a corner of the sticker while I continued to hold the heat on it. He lifted the corner & slowly peeled the sticker all the way off, >(peel slowly)< even the underneath gooey part came off! The only thing left was one teeny spot of gooeyness that remained. I kept the heat on it while hubby grabbed the Goof-Off, & it cleaned the sticky bit off clean as a whistle. Wait a few minutes till the Goof-Off dry's (its alcohol-based so it will smear the glass at first), but once dry, basic glass cleaner over all & my firebox glass is sparkling.
