It works out of the box
After reading a lot of reviews that the first copy didn't work, I was a bit reluctant to order. But this was much better price compare to Netgear, so I decided to go ahead and ordered it. It turned out to be a good copy, worked out of the box. Thank You T-Mobile and Amazon.

Could not connect to internet
This product kept telling me SIM locked and put code in. I didn’t have a code or if I did I sure didn’t know it. I called T-Mobil and was on phone for 2.5 hours and switched between 12 people. Was horrible and still not fixed. When the T-Mobil girl couldn’t fix it she just hung up the phone. That was the end of my 2.5 hours and will never deal with t-Mobil in my life! I bought 5 more SIM cards and I factory reset it and still didn’t work. I bought this for my motorhome at the races and it’s unusable!

Took two units to get one that worked, but is otherwise fine.
I ordered this from Amazon to avoid paying more than double through T-Mobile directly. The hotspot arrived in what appeared to be new sealed packaging and still had a screen protector. Everything appeared new and unused. On install of a factory new T-Mobile SIM card the unit powered up and displayed "no signal". Although multiple devices would connect to the wifi signal and enter the advanced menu options, the unit would not find any 5g or LTE signals (waited over an hour).T-Mobile tech support was extremely helpful despite not purchasing the unit via them and walked me through multiple tests and checks. Despite over an hour of troubleshooting the unit to verify that it wasn't a SIM and had the latest firmware (4D), it would not connect to the network. During troubleshooting we verified that it wasn't a mislabeled LTE-only model (it wasn't) then got into the advanced options to look for ANY network signal from ANY carrier and the unit immediately reported, "no signals available," without even a pause. Further investigation in the advanced menus showed the device wasn't receiving any cell signals at all. The T-Mobile tech (who seemed quite competent) advised that although they've had issues with this particular model before, those were resolved with the last software patch. He said he was pretty certain it was bricked out of the box.UPDATE:I received my replacement unit in about two weeks (despite several delivery delays) and the new unit works flawlessly. The only minor annoyance was needing to quite thoroughly clean the display after removing the factory screen protector as otherwise the touchscreen is almost unusable. I'm going to chock this up to getting what I paid for (I expect some shenanigans with such a steep discount). Bring some patience for this one.

Worked
I didn't realize the unit came with a Tmobile SIM card so I bought one. Good thing as the included one did not work "out of the box". You DO have to activate it with TMobile beforehand. Otherwise I had no issues and it worked like it was supposed to. However, TMobile seemed to think I was using way more GB than I thought I should be, so after a month, I opted to go with a different plan through someone else.

DO NOT BUY&***********
****DO NOT BUT BUY this if you are looking for UNLOCKED MifI***********Customer review questions clearly said that this is unlocked version "Yes. This device is unlocked for all carriers" BUT it came to me as LOCKED by TMOBILE. TMibile would unlock it, AMAZON customer care CAN NOT REACH the SELLER. I am not able to reach SELLER. Amazon Customer Care washed their hands saying that can reach the seller at a number they provided, which goes to voice mail always, Always voice is full and can't leave a message. If the seller can't even be reach, I am surprised to see AMAZON still listing them on their WEBSITE/app, making customers like me spend days to get a product and return. The wholepoint is after waiting for few days the product comes and I am packed, ready to go on Business trip, only to realize that this product WOULDN'T work for me. ON TOP IT AMAZON doesn't take any bottom line. Crap**

Just NOT worth it at all!
Unit is HUGE for a hotspot. It takes FOREVER to boot up.Battery life is abysmal, at about 4 to 6 hours most of which is on standby!!!When charging it only shows 89% charged (even though it has fully charged). When reconnecting it to a charging cord, or booting it up, it then will show it is 100% charged.Connecting a charging cord makes the unit act like it is booting (showing the same screens as when it boots) but it is not booted. Which is just confusing!Contacting support at Inseego, was useless, as they told me my new unit was out of warranty!

Buyer Beware
Hi folks,So I purchased a "New" modem after ample research time and due diligence. I was mailed a used one fro Amazon. Here is the skinny: The new modem has a factory original screen saver fixed to the screen which you obviously peel off. If there is not a factory original screen protector, you have been duped folks. Take it to tmobile who suggest 3 hours on the phone with tech support. Nope. When I realized the IEM # was actually still attached to the PRIOR account, I requested a new modem. It is easy to do - simply replace your old modem for the new one and leave the peripherals in the shiny new packaging. The new modem worked out of the box in 30 seconds.I was sent the replacement promptly, and I wish I could give the seller the benefit of the doubt, but as a business owner, I am ultimately responsible for knowing where my merchandise comes from. Zero stars for the fraud but so far, the box works fine.

It Works
It works without a doubt. T-Mobile only. Idk if it s unlocked since my carrier is with T-Mobile. Should be unlocked from my understanding, out the box since I paid full price for it.
