Ultra Light 14.5" Platform, 5-Step with Wheels

I should have bought these steps sooner but waited until my dog had a torn ACL and could no longer use her rear legs well to jump onto the car seat from a shorter plastic set of stairs we have been using.With theses steps, you can reduce the height of each step by spreading them out longer, it is not a ramp but becomes manageable steps that go all the way up to the seat so dog doesn’t have to jump any hurdles. The material covering each step provides excellent traction and the width of the entire “staircase” provides a sense of “stability” for the dog. After the first run up and down, my dog got used to using the stairs when I set them up and put minimal pressure on her healing knee joint.I am 70 and pretty fit but I recently had a shoulder replaced which puts limitations on the weight I can lift. However, these steps are manageable for me although they are heavier than I thought they would be. They fold quickly and easily and actually fit behind the driver’s seat so I do not have to lift them in and out of trunk.I was particularly impressed by the advice of producers /sellers to use these steps while dogs are young to PREVENT unnecessary pressures on hips and knees —from jumping in/out of car all thru life. Great advice!!!!

I always take the dogs! Two GSDs. Old dog loves could no longer even climb onto back via floor and now confidently trots up stairs. Young dog hops in but I make him use stairs to exit due to elbow displasia. I was worried about being able to manage the weight but it folds easily and is surprisingly light. Wheels are genius. Only caveat is I should have gotten the mini instead of 14.5 for Outback back seat with doors that don’t open to 90 degrees as recommended by Petloader customer service. Since I use bolsters (Orvis) to fill gap between back seat and front anyway am able to brace stairs cat-a-corner.

Well constructed, sturdy steps. They are easy to open and fold back up, and can be used for access to either the back or side doors of both my Mazda CX-9 and Dodge Durango. The steps are nice and wide. My older Border Collie is still leery of them, and jumps off about halfway down, but that's not an issue with the steps themselves.

We have an 8 1/2 year old, 90 lb boxer who is going through chemo. This Pet Loader allows him easy access to my Ford Expedition. Our Veternary oncologist recommended it. Took a few treats to get him up at first. Not too heavy...worth the investment!

I have 2 senior rescue dogs 40 and 85 lbs and an SUV. The Ultra Light 14.5", 5-step with wheels arrived on time and in perfect shape. Excellent product that will save my back and the discomfort and potential injury of my 13 y.o., 85 lb Shepherd. However, I regret not having ordered the wider platform (16 or 18"). During the training period, my shepherd stepped to the side of the fourth step while ascending and could have impacted the cement drive resulting in injury. Fortunately, she caught herself...but in that moment, I wished I had a wider platform. I rescue the seniors...who usually have vision, arthritis, dementia, hearing issues...so a wider platform is better. The product is the best solution I have found. Will consider ordering another one with wider platform.

I love this and even more my very large Mastiff of 131lbs loves it. Easy on her joints.

I have two standard poodles and needed a ramp to enter the back of my Honda Pilot. After having one just have ACL surgery this was a must have. Tried the ramp but does not work as well as the steps. This is the best product. Both dogs went up it with confidence. Bought the 4 step aluminum after measuring the height of the back entry of the Pilot and it is right on. Thanks for this product. ITS MADE IN USA
