Excellent kit for the price
Got this item on a deal and don't regret it at all. The ability to watch 4k or 3d or my lifelong love Ice Hockey on a massive screen is more than I dreamt of. People say about the light needing to be brighter but I have the room lit the same as I watch a standard uhd tv and the screen is perfectly viewable. If on a deal i thoroughly recommend.

Excellent picture, weak firmware.
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had a few projectors previously, but this is certainly the most I’ve spent on one. I’ve had it for a year now and I’m happy with it. It’s my main tv, and produces a perfectly clear image that’s easily watchable during the day - as long as the sun isn’t glaring on the screen. You’ll really need to get a fixed panel screen, a roller screen isn’t going to give you a great result, so factor in spending a bit of cash on a decent screen. The firmware is awful, you’ll need to use your own set-top box, it’s worth investing in an Nvidia Shield to go with it, to get a decent 4K experience. There are apps for Netflix etc, but they’re so shoddy looking they’re practically unusable, so just assume you’ll need to have it plugged into an external STB. I’ve had a few dead pixels which has meant I had to send it in for repair a few times. It was fixed pretty quickly both times, but I’m glad I’d got hold of it new rather than second hand, so it was covered by a two year warranty. The remote isn’t very responsive at all. Overall I’m happy with it, but if the apps were better, and the QC was a bit more on point it could have been perfect.

Excellent piece of kit
£1600 on Amazon. £200 off at checkout. Fantastic picture. Will have to watch all my 4K stuff all over again in a larger style.

Excellent home entertainment
Bigger than expected in size but excellent sound and picture quality. I do need to figure out the the way to update firmware.

Fantastic sound, great image, but won't last for long
I've never experienced such awesome sound in a projector. The quality of the image is also excellent, even in a bright environment. Overall, I was delighted with this projector, until it started to break. For that price, it just does not last long enough. Less than a year after buying it, the image started to break (with something similar to dead pixels). I sent it for repair, and it came back with the image fixed, but with a broken IR receiver, so I had to send it for repair again. Because of that, I couldn't watch Euro games, which was a bummer. Then, when it arrived, it was visually broken. I sent if for the third repair, but when it came back from it it looked even worse than before.I'm so grateful to Amazon that they allowed me to return this item. After all those issues and sending this bulky item so many times I was too tired to give it another try.TLDR: nice device, prone to issues, very bad repair centre.

Great in a dark room
Great audio and image in a dark room, it's 2400 lumens and some other brands are 3000 lumens which would be better if it were a little brighter

Fantastic colours, superb brightness and a joy to use
I’m not new to projectors by any means as I’ve had a few entry level ones in the past. But this is my first step into mid-range projectors. As I am trying to create a cinema room in my house, I was torn between an Ultra Short Throw Projector and a long throw projector.Ultimately I decided to stay with this Ultra Short Throw Projector as I also wanted to be able to use the room as a general TV viewing area. Pairing this projector with an ALR screen makes wonders out of the LED bulb and really makes the colours pop and contrast stand out.A long throw projector is arguably better in many use cases such as having included Android TV, auto keystone and auto focus yet I would still recommend this projector for a few key reason.Number 1, as already stated is it’s amazing picture quality. It is plentiful bright and once aligned and focused, casts a beautiful sharp and crisp image full of contrast and detail.Number 2, it being an Ultra Short Throw projector means minimal shadows when walking in between the seats and the viewing area.Number 3, being able to use an Ambient Light Reflecting screen makes the image viewable even in daylight or with room lighting. The performance of the projector is also great, albeit missing a few features such as eARC, and autofocus support. The lack of Android TV or any kind of modern operating system isn’t that much of a deal for me since I have a dedicated streaming box, PlayStation and disc player. The lack of eARC however is a much bigger deal. Being able to auto turn on and off the projector using my streaming box’s remote would have been amazing. It’s not a dealbreaker but it’s something to be wary of when purchasing. I’m sure the eARC feature being missing has been rectified in the newer X2000 model. The on-board speakers are also amazing for its size. They will never replace dedicated speakers but as an easy, quick solution, they do the job.I bought this on prime day for a 50% discount. For £1000 this projector is unbeatable as it does everything that matters in a much more expensive expensive projector for a lot less. I would be hard pressed to recommend this projector over say a XGIMI horizon Ultra when it’s priced £300 less than the retail price of this one.For this reason I’d give it a 4/5 stars as its missing a few key features that I’d have loved to have seen.
