I have tried a few of the flexible silicone or plastic cutting boards on Amazon with little success. Out of frustration, I decided to chance buying one for about 4x what I had spent on previous sets. This board is thicker and very resilient. It remained free of cut marks after using a small (5 inch) cleaver to chop veggies. Waiting to splurge on another one.

If it were just a bit thinner, it would be more pliable, which would be good when you're trying to pick it up and pour cut vegetables into the salad bowl. Overall, though, well worth it since it isn't plastic.
