Nuxe Serum
I tried the serum since I like the scented oil. It kept my face hydrated even in dry weather when I spent two weeks in Colorado.

Low DHA, high perfume. Minimal color change
I always jump at the facial self tan serums, preferring products made just for the face in the hopes they will be made with better or minimal ingredients to not aggravate sensitive skin. This was built as an extra moisturizing product with hyaluronic acid. That said, water and alcohol are high up on the ingredients list, as is perfume, and the smell is overpoweringly strong. I would describe it as a sweet floral, along the lines of a synthetic mix of Lily of the valley and freesia and maybe jasmine, with a bit of the usual self tanning smell peeking out from under. Glycerin is listed as an active ingredient in the product listing and Glycerine is not an active ingredient, it's just really a liquid. The dropper dispensation is conservative – when you squeeze the dropper it fills only about halfway at the very most, leading me to believe it might be quite concentrated. That said, it's not very oily, but instead watery in texture, so that half dropper wasn't enough to cover my entire face. I ended up using about a full dropper and a half to ensure I covered all parts of my face thoroughly, and left the product on all day.Because the product is very watery and not super oily, I didn't find it especially hydrating or moisturizing the way I do with certain serums, making this not a top contender for tan serums where skincare formulation is concerned. .After about six hours I could see only the most minimal color change. This is a very low DHA product for the very subtlest tan. With this product sitting at a $50-$60 price point and a pretty small bottle – considerably smaller than I thought it was from the product photo – there's an expectation of luxury, furthered by the deliberate 'ice' spelling of the brand name. A product with hyaluronic acid is expected to feel very moisturizing--both on application and afterward, and have some other ingredients that feel emollient and nutritive.Unfortunately I didn't feel this product really delivered all that well either on the skin care or the tanning front. I have better performing drugstore tanning products that I mix in sparingly with my existing skin care serums that vastly outperform this serum, and this combo goes a very long way at a much lower price point. In short, I like the idea, but not so much the execution of this product. If it were $20, it might be worth a re-purchase, but only if it had more of the active tanning ingredient.

Not a favorite-didn't see much added moisture
This is one of the few Nuxe products that I don't love. It doesn't smell like anything and the consistency is (to me) a little strange. I also didn't see any difference after I started using it. I usually love NUXE but this one for me wasn't worth the splurge. I found that that LOREAL midnight line worked better for my aging skin.
