Tchaikovsky: Violin Concerto op. 35; Serenade Melancolique, Op.26

Mr. Perlman achieved a superlative performance of this concerto. Lovely tone, phrasing, impeccable technique & musicianship. I would recommend this performance. Beautiful serenade! Perlman is always good - a truly great artist!

One of the best virtuosos ever to perform with the violin. Perlman is extraordinary in performing what I think may well be the single most difficult violin concerto ever written. Eleven stars on a scale of ten.

One of my very favorites. Not the same as Mozart (who is my favorite), but this CD is beautifully done and is a "keeper"!

This is a very difficult concerto to play. Perlman was superb backed by Philadelphia Orchestra with Eugene Ormandy conducting.

Thank you for making this recording available again! Would have preferred it not to be a record sleeve though which explains the price.

Besides the orchestra overshadowing Perlman, there is steady ticking in the background of the whole Concerto in D Major opus 35. Very distracting to have ticking and music at the same time.

Beaucoup de versions sont disponibles, mais cette deuxième gravure de Perlman est certainement la plus réussie. Très haut dans les étoiles, Perlman est d'une poésie, d'une force, d'un engagement vraiment insensés. De cette génération de musiciens, Repin, Vengerov, Mullova et Gringolts suivront ses pas. Le Philadelphia fait preuve de beaucoup ( trop) de discipline et peine parfois à rejoindre l'âme russe. Mais l'ensemble mérite un achat sans hésitation.

Enregistrement fin des années 70. L'orchestre de Philadelphie, dirigé par une main de maître par Eugène Ormandy, est remarquable de précision et le son produit est de toute beauté. En supplément, Itzhak Perlman joue avec fougue et une nervosité parfaitement contrôlée. On y entend quelques portamenti d'une autre époque, ce qui donne à cette partition une âme slave sans excès. Un très bel enregistrement.

Itzach Perlman est pour moi un des meilleurs violonistes car il parvient avec son violon à atteindre la perfection !
