Like most Fisker tools, this is a solid, well built shovel. Not much else to say except remember to sharpen it. Sharpening a shovel, including a lawn edging shovel, is always recommended because a sharp shovel makes digging and edging easier, requiring less effort and time. It also helps in cutting through plant matter more efficiently. Most new shovels come with dull edges to prevent accidents in stores, so sharpening them can significantly improve their performance.If you haven't sharpened a shovel before, be sure and secure the shovel by clamp or vise, with the shovel's cutting edge facing up. Use a file, coarse abrasive stone, or handheld grinder, which is what I use. Follow the existing bevel or use a 45-degree angle if it's not visible. Only sharpen the beveled side.As far as sharpening technique: For files or stones, push forward in even passes. For grinders, move along the edge without staying too long in one spot.Sharpening your lawn edging shovel (or any shovel) will enhance its effectiveness in digging or in maintaining clean and precise lawn edges.

Best shovel. Period. I worked a job close to 10 years ago where we had these shovels and always remembered how much I loved using them. Build sturdily and cuts through dirt extremely efficiently.

So many uses and is quite sturdy but not heavy.

Best tool to have perfect edge or drench;Space between grass edging barrier! Great to scrap excess grass by laying flat and scraping on a flat side, best when you sitting on ground level and working with shoulders and arms to remove excess weeds/grass to have nice finish edge. It’s sharp to cut through roots and ready to go, no assemble needed

I recently purchased this edging shovel and have been using it to tidy up my lawn and garden. Overall, I'm pleased with its performance, but I do want to share some observations to help set realistic expectations.First, the shovel and its packaging arrived in good condition, with the tool well-protected from damage during shipping. The edging shovel itself feels very sturdy and well-balanced, making it comfortable to use for extended periods. The edging results are good, but as with any new tool, it does take some practice to get the hang of it. Don't expect perfect edges right away, but with a bit of patience and technique, you'll get the desired results.One area for improvement is the handle's plastic components, which don't quite match the quality of the rest of the shovel. While the handle's durability is still good, I worry that the plastics might be more prone to wear and tear over time.I've been careful to store the shovel out of direct sunlight, so I haven't personally experienced any issues with fading. However, I've read that this can be a problem for some users, so it's worth considering if you plan to store the shovel in a sunny area.Despite these minor drawbacks, I'm happy with the shovel's performance and would recommend it to others. If you're in the market for a reliable edging shovel and are willing to put in a bit of practice to get the best results, this tool is definitely worth considering.

I actually like digging with this! I'm not an outdoorsy person and not crazy about dirt, but needed to replant a seedling. Have tried other shovels and hated it. This actually made it easy.

Bought this for expanding my garden and removing sod, works excellent when i put on knee pads and stayed low to the the ground. All I needed was this shovel. I originally started with a heavy duty digging bar, was a waste of time and energy. Just make 1' x 1' squares with the shovel, then get down on the ground and scrap up the sod.
