Big improvement over the GM type 6 fluid
Used this in my Duramax w/ Allison 6 sp. Did the "double change", and it drives like new!Very smooth shifts....much better than with the old fluid.Also, you get smooth shifting hot or cold, and the fluid seems to run cooler - around 20 degrees cooler.Great stuff. And, by Allison's own calculator (look it up online), you can run 150k between changes by running this stuff.Might be more $$, but easily pays for itself right there - in the longer drain interval.

Helps transmission life by running clean and cool.
I use this for the ATF in my boat’s ZF 630 transmission. Yes it’s pricey compared to Dexron III, but it runs smoother (particularly with the trolling valve) and cooler. I change it every 12 months and its always clean and never smells burnt. Perfect for high load transmissions that use ATF. BEFORE USING MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THAT ITS COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR TRANSMISSION.

Great alternative to Transynd!
I got this for my Duramax with the Allison trans. This is the best bet if your wanting to change your fluid and wanting to use a Allison TES 295 approved fluid. Search any of Duramax sites and they'll all tell you that you should use any fluid that is Allison TES 295 approved. They'll say to use Transynd , Amsoil Torque , or Mobil Delvac Synthetic ATF. I looked at every auto part place in town and could not find any of these. If you're like me and can't find any of these readily available locally, Mobil Delvac on amazon makes it more convenient.

the only fluid i use in my allison trans
i use this fluid only for my allison 1000 trans, its the same thing as transynd but alot cheaper , i change it every 25,000 mi or two years. i also change my external filter once a year or 10,000mi.

saved money and now using the fluid that allison wants in their transmissions
I bought a 2001 gmc druamax with 92,000 miles on it I wanted to change all fluids filters and do general maintenance. After looking around online I found allison wants a transmission fluid rated tes-295 nobody locally carried it and the local Allison dealer only worked on "medium duty or bigger trucks" and would not sell fluid to me I found this on amazon for a good price bought it replaced fluid and the truck shifts smother and quicker than before. I will use this until my truck falls apart.
