Beard Oil : with Argan Oil Serum and Jojoba Oils for Growth and Shine - Leave In Deep Conditioner, Softener, and Thickener, for all Beards and Mustaches (Unscented)

Okay, there is a boat load of beard oil on the market right now. Are beards trendy? Yes, so there is plenty of manly beards to demand an abundance of beard oils. I have tried many different beard oils, Grave Before Shave, Prophet and Tools, Smooth Viking, and The Gentlemen's Beard. Rugged Bros is by far my favorite. I used to be a huge fan of Prophet and Tools; they just released two scents that are pretty awesome and go beyond the cedar or bay rum scents. However, I found that because these contained alcohol and "fragrance" that my beard was suffering from beard drought. This is what sparked my investigation into what all these oils in beard oil really do and what oils are best. From the research I have conducted to find the best beard oil, the top ingredients that you want to see in the oil are: Vitamin E oil, Jojoba oil, and Argan oil.Jojoba oil is anti bacterial and fungal and is really important to have in your beard oil as it is an oil that most closely matches the oil that your skin naturally produces while providing SPF protection and eczema relief.Argan oil is another carrier oil that has a 0 comedogenic rating (comedogenic is the scale used to rate how much a product can clog pores) while helping control acne and keep your skin moisturized.What is great about the Rugged Bros oil is these two oils are high up on the ingredient list, meaning there is more of these two essential oils and less of the other carrier oils. Take note that Jojoba and Argan are the highest quality oil for beard oil, the order that Rugged Bros ingredients appear on their label are as follows: Sweet Almond Oil (contains high levels of magnesium and biotin...the magic hair growth vitamin), Argan Kernel Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Sesame Seed Oil (can prevent premature graying and can act as a sunscreen), Avocado Oil (promotes growth and a crap ton of nutrients), Coco-caprylate (conditions the skin), Castor Seed Oil (can promote hair growth), Prickly Pear Seed Oil (anti-aging oil...who new!), and Black Seed Oil (carrier oil that soothes inflammation, flakiness, and sensitivity). The fact that Jojoba and Argan oils are in the top three is pretty stellar, but all these other oils are outstanding for the beard!!In terms of the scent, there is a slight aroma that is natural from the oil blend and is not bad, but once applied to the beard the smell is non-existent. From using this oil my beard has become much smoother and, more importantly, hydrated through the ENTIRE DAY. From previous oils my beard has felt and looked dry by mid-day, and I contribute the success of this oil to the high levels of Jojoba and Argan oil and the amazing other blend of oils. What can cause premature drought in the beard is the use of alcohol based products (which are often brought in with fragrances).The only critique that I have, which I hope Rugged Bros takes into consideration, is to add Vitamin E to the oil blend. Vitamin E has shown (though scientists seem to be baffled as to why) to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth. Some oils are now including Vitamin E oil in their products. Is this a market killer, no, as Rugged Bros provides a healthy blend of other hair growth oils. However, I believe once Rugged Bros includes Vitamin E into their blend there will be no better beard oil on the market.

Quality product. Read many reviews and decided on this one as I was looking For a quality fragrance free oil. Of course all of them will have their natural scent from the ingredients, but I can say that this one has no odor that stands out at all, and once you apply at you do not smell anything which is what I was looking for. Just a quality beard oil without fragrance fillers. I like that this one does not have tea tree oil or eucalyptus which gives many other beard oils a scent I don’t care for. It also makes my beard shiny which brings out my natural color. It seems to last and is not greasy. I wash my hands quickly after using and it doesnt stay on my hands. Definitely will buy again.

I really dig this oil and it makes my crazy beard calm down and softens it up but it makes my face itch. I'd give it 5 stars if I didn't itch. Still pretty good stuff. If you do purchase and have the same problem, use it every 3 or 4 days and your beard will still benefit while keeping the itching to a minimum. Just my face, just my opinion. Give it a shot if you've got unruly or dry facial hair.

I love this stuff. I cannot stress that enough. Let me start off by saying my beard is really coarse and needs product to keep it from becoming a tumbleweed attached to my chin. I have tried many oils before and most all smell like a pine car air freshener. Seriously, like having a little green cardboard tree hanging from my face. Seriously, you spend $15-25 bucks on something that smells horrible and then the hassle of returning it is something I abhore. I have about 3 or 4 bottles of beard oil that I haven't returned because I hate returning stuff. This oil has no fragrance at all. It's a nice lite oil. On the first application,(as I never get past one application with the others) I was like what is this gonna do, it's so lite. It added a nice sheen and made the brush through much easier. By the third day, my beard was much more manageable and a softness that it had never had prior. Now, I am hooked and use it every day. 3-4 drops and I'm good!!!

I have particularly thick hair, and this beard oil is one of the few products that can tame it into submission. It has allowed me to grow my beard longer than I usually do without it getting out of control. It also does a great job at combating dry skin. I like that it's unscented because it can be used anytime without conflicting with other fragrances (like cologne). The condensed nature of the product give it a small form factor - allowing me to take it with me on the go. It was exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended.

I used to get a different beard oil that was also unscented but it stopped being available. I tried a couple different ones afterwards and couldn’t stand any of them, even though one was labeled as unscented i had really bad allergy symptoms/sinus pain after using it. I was a little hesitant to get this one but now that I’ve been using it it’s quickly become my favorite. It actually makes my beard softer, not just oily. By far the best beard oil I’ve tried to date and I really love how it really is unscented.

This oil seems harmelss enough. Using it on a wiry 1" full beard. Label indicates a couple of drops, but it takes a full dropper to provide any coverage. Scent is pretty neutral, smelling like a bland vegetable oil, and it produces no irritation to the skin. No noticeable softening effect after two weeks of use. I'll use up the bottle, but don't see continuing to use it if it doesn't do anything after a month.

Nice stuff, there is a slight smell for a few secs but it goes away. My beard feels fuller and i noticed less flakiness
