Sony XPERIA XZs upgrade from Iphone 6 128 GB 4.7" screen model.
Super short short summary: this phone is amazing. period. Get one ASAP.I got this one after having been stuck two years with a carrier, with an Iphone 6, which there was supposed to be NO contract, etc., blah blah blah blah, and then all of a sudden after 24 mo it turns out it was a lease and I had to put down $200.00 to own it. Well, not even six months had gone by and, despite taking care of the phone as much as I could, it was plagued with problems. I took it to the carrier and said they could not find anything wrong with it, SHOCKING!, I know... these techies can never find anything wrong or they "fix" whatever is wrong only to appear again a couple of weeks afterwards. However, I was tired of the poor execution, poor picture qualities under low light conditions, specially the front-facing camera. If I was doing a couple of tasks at the same time the phone would just, freeze, restart itself up or just plain go dark screen (which it scared the hell out of me a couple of times). Additionally, as I compared the new Iphone 7 with the XPERIA XZs it was just plain clear that, I was indeed, due for a change of phone brands, OS and companies. My previous phone was CDMA and this one is GSM, which I had no problems whatsoever, transferring my old information, since the phone has a cool feature that lets you choose which old phone you had and with a usb-c to lightning connector it took little under two hours. Mind you I had the 128gb model, so wised up and got a 256gb micro SD. Best thing I did, now, with 320gb for the hard drive, and its Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 2x 2.2GHz, 2x 1.6GHz / Qualcomm Adreno 530 with 4gb of RAM I've had NO glitches NO issues with running more than one app, best of all I kept my Apple music thanks to Android N and continue to have access to all my previous music.I honestly, feel this phone was a Godsend and the battery life can be further extended with a 'smart stamina mode' which can be customized in a myriad of ways: it can be set up so it is always this way, or kick in with a certain amount of your battery has been consumed. The usb-c makes transferring a lot of info a breeze and that 5.2" (1920x1080 full HD) feels like changing from boring normal def to real HD screen like a well deserved upgrade. In all honesty, if things keep up I'll start buying these XPERIA models very often, and when the XZ premium comes out with that ridic 4k screen you'll prob see me around with a new review.Bottom line: You will NOT be disappointed. Just click 'ADD TO CART' and you will thank me later.

Not the best but certainly not as bad as some websites try to make you believe
I am pleasantly surprised by how easygoing th phone is. The camera is speedy enough and quality is decent. Yes, it still has watercolor and noise issue but it is much less noticeable compared to XZ. The color rendition is very pleasing. The predictive capture feature is a great feature. The feature almost always kick in at those moments I would like to have it enabled (about 80-90% success rate). Really helpful to get the better timing and also have the option to turn the burst into animation in Google Photo. 960fps sounds gimmick but once I get the hang of the timing, I do look for opportunities to use the feature. I don’t use 4K recording so I don’t know if the phone has overheat issue in video mode, but I do know that when I took pictures continuously, overheat warning started popping up after about 40-50 pictures. On the other hand, the phone does cool down relatively fast so it is not too big of a deal. But probably that means the new 10fps burst feature in XZ1 wont be available to XZs through FW update...The phone is speedy even though I do wish app loading to be faster. Battery life easily last a day and the phone runs cool unless under multimedia or gaming. Sony’s SW is clean but Sony could do with less bloatwares. Having said that, I do like Sony’s Music and Album apps and use them instead of Google’s versions. The touchscreen is very sensitive but unfortunately does not have double tap to wake/sleep feature like some phones, which is a shame. US version has the fingerprint scanner disabled, but it is not too difficult to re-enable the feature by flashing software from other regions.Sound is the weaker part of the phone. Ringtone is acceptably loud but speakerphone needs to be several times louder. Music playback through the speakers is too thin and too bright with little mid tone. Similarly, voice call sounds dry and the fact that there is no VoLTE on any of the US carriers doesn’t help at all. Thankfully, music through Bluetooth and headphone both sounds clean and detailed. This phone does almost everything well and now that it has seen several price cuts is certainly worth a look, especially if you know how to enable the fingerprint scanner.

Do Not Overlook Sony
This phone replaces a Nokia Lumia with the Windows operating system. Since Microsoft stabbed us by ceasing to support the Windows operating system, I decided that, for many reasons, security, advanced technology, battery life, among them, it was time for a new phone. Since I have no regard for Apple, that left me with Android phones to investigate. I have had bad experiences with LG. Samsung was expensive. That left Sony and Motorola on my list. I decided upon Sony. I am very happy with it. Three months in, I am still learning the Android aps. The screen is bright. The Contacts, Message, and Calendar aps are excellent. The camera is excellent also. Learning nuances keeps me interested. Battery life is substantially better than the Nokia. For me, it can go into the third day before charging. I would also say that I am NOT a heavy user of streaming services. I have a second unit for my wife when the battery on her Lumia gets so problematic that she is willing to make the change, I purchased the phone unlocked. My carrier, AT&T, made the sim card change for a $5 plus sales tax fee. It took about 15 minutes.
