I received my stoneware in perfect condition, I ordered 5 boxes (to serve 20 people at dinner party) with not one piece broken/damaged. Amazing! I love these dishes!!! Beautiful pattern, great size plate with a lip with is such a good idea, no problem dishwashing them, price is very reasonable, and the setting on the table was elegant. I had 3 chipped cups and a chipped saucer in mine. To much of a pain to send back and wait for a possible worse box to come in. The Dinnerware thats not chipped has been great so far.

Okay, so first off the bat, I scored durability a 4/5 because one of the mugs arrived broken. Because of that, it is unusable unless it’s used as a vessel for cold drinks - hot stuff is way too HOTTTTT to the touch. I tried. I rated these plates as sturdy because they are solid pieces and therefore NOT light weight, which I rated a 3/5. Hello? It’s called stoneware, so how can it be light? Because of this, I would suggest not stacking them on a shelf unless you are confident it can bear the weight. The design is subtle and modern. It’s not the greatest when you look at it up close, but who normally puts a plate three inches away from their face? The one thing I LOOOOVVVVVE is that the sides of the plate come up, so the plate is like a flat bowl, if that makes sense. I like to eat pasta, and I typically use a bowl, but no one else in my family does. With these plates, now I can eat like the rest of them! With the raised edges, sauces and watery foods can be eaten safely, without worrying it will slide off onto the table or floor. I would definitely have a kitchen full of these plate for that feature alone. I hope this company continues to make this style of plate because I’m a big fan and would keep buying and replacing anything that breaks to save me from a messy table. The plates are dishwasher and microwave safe, per the message under the bottom. Although I haven’t microwaved any of the pieces, we washed them in the dishwasher before using and they came out fine.

I like the plates. They are a little heavier than my last set. The cups are a little smaller but they are a great size for tea or a standard cup of coffee. I like the blue stripe it looks a little indigo to me and the plates have a very slight gray in the white. The plates actually have more serving space because the plate is flat. The bowls are a nice size works for cereal or soup. Salad plate is good size for sandwiches and a side of chips.These dishes fit tight in the dish washer because of the lip on the plates.I did receive one plate that has some grit on it from the kiln. I am currently talking to the maker. I did not want to re-package two sets of dishes for one faulty plate. Hopefully they will send a plate at no charge. UPDATE: The maker sent a new plate within a week. Great Customer Service from Stone Lain.

This is a very nice dish set. They are very strong and durable feeling, which I love. No worries about them breaking easily. Its also nice that they are both microwave and dishwasher safe. Both sizes of the plates have a raised edge which is awesome. Now I can pour tons of gravy on my mashed potatoes and nothing will spill over the edge. The bowls are big and can hold 3 cups of cereal. Very nice for us cereal lovers. The mugs are a bit on the small side holding just over a cup, so a good size for a cup of tea, but not quite big enough for coffee or hot chocolate. I like the striped pattern on this set and it pairs nicely with the durable feel of stoneware. I think this set will last us several years and that makes me happy. Overall great set and I can definitely recommend for families that need durable dishes.

The dishes came very well packed. They are great looking dishes. I like that they are dishwasher and microwave safe. The bowls are deep, I love them for soup. I like the pattern on them. I normally pick out plain colors but the strips are nice. I like how they are light and the edge on the side of the dinner plate and side plate. We redid our kitchen and these dishes match our decor perfectly. I also like that they don't have a saucer for the cups. I have never used a saucer for my coffee cups. I would certainly purchase another set to make my set of 8 instead of 4.
