I purchased the 5.91 x 1/2 pair and one of the smaller versions. An apology to BCHARYA is necessary. I thought a previous, smaller rod was missing when it was the angle I looked at the box, so I asked for a refund. It came with other items and was laying up against the side of the box in a way I was only able to find it by moving the box.Rods are simple to use and perform the same as any other. The leather cord will break with a slight tug, so I suggest finding a replacement. Paracord could work. Plenty of sparks per strike! My technique stinks, but I can tell it'll be a cinch to start a spark with practice. I like that the striker is both a scale and small ruler. It's part of my Bushcrafting starter kit I'm building.

I bought these ferro rods for Webelos Scouts (4th grade and 5th grade) to use to learn to make a fire without matches. The rods are very easy to hold and to create sparks to light cottonballs. A couple things to know, they are covered with black paint initially, which will get rubbed off by the flat striker. The leather string to hold them together is easy to break. You may want to use a string or small chain instead to keep them together. But they work fantastic.

I liked the size and the price and they look and weigh nicely, but I thought I was getting two of the strikers.

Excellent! Not so tiny for my large hands. Works quite well. Be sure to scrap off the plastic coating. I have it in my rough camping kit. Worth the weight of carrying when every gram counts.

I’m sorry I didn’t include a picture or video but the item is HEAVY and of great quality! Highly recommend it, seems like it’ll last forever. Definitely a must buy even if you don’t think you’ll need it right now, get it before it goes up in price. Maybe can pass if down to family members once you get old, that’s how good the quality of the item feels like.

It's a 6 inch with a .5 inch diameter rod of pure ferrocerium. It has every single property of a ferro rod. I'm prepping an emergency disaster kit, and I think one of these makes a great addition. The addition length gives you a lot of instant shavings while striking, which helps start any fire you might want to start. Throw sparks onto a piece of paper, and with a few strokes, lights just fine. Easy enough for just about anyone to do.

It's nice works fine .However it comes with only one striker and lanyard when it's a 2 piece set why only one striker n lanyard??? 🤔 Weird
