Don't have to turn my brightness to max on my surface pro 8 since installed, and it actually does feel like writing on paper. Tough install thou had 2 dust particles stuck that made an air bubble.

Great for Note Taking Surface 9 Pro
If you use a stylus for note taking and like a textured feel, then this screen protector is great. It is exactly what you want if that's what you need. I love the feel of slight resistance when using the stylus. The screen protector doesn't interfere with using your device without the pen either. I would definitely buy this again. You should be aware of some issues with the screen protector, though. My gripes are really minor and I still recommend the product 100%. The issues I mention are the same for any paper feel screen protector that I have used.-It feels like this type of screen protector dulls the brightness of the screen slightly-The bigger the screen, the harder it is to put on the screen protector. I managed to get a couple of dust particles under the screen that caused a couple of bubbles. I don't know what the manufacturer could do to help with installation, but it is difficult to get it installed perfectly. The bubbles aren't noticeable unless you have a black background up on your screen. The bubbles do not affect the performance of the protector at all.*Issue with my order that does not affect the product or my review:I ordered the two pack and only received a one pack. Also, the plastic envelope that the screen protector came in was bent. The bend caused a bubble on my screen. After struggling with the customer service chatbot I finally figured out how to get a chat with a real person. The sent another screen protector immediately. It was delivered with no issues. Kudos to Amazon for making it right!

You are gonna need a 3m clean room to install this.
I tried SOOOOO hard to get the dust of the screen. My house is not a dirty place. I put down a glass surface that I cleaned with micro fiber and glass cleaner. I then cleaned the screen with all of the supplied alcohol pads. I even dusted off the film before peeling it. I again checked the screen for dust. I see nothing. set it down and dust created like 5 bubbles. I messed with that film trying to remove the dust and bubbles. After 30 minutes, I gave up.I tried the second one thinking, well the first one will just be the best dust sticker ever. It was just as bad. This is an impractical. After installing it, with 3 bubbles this time, it does feel nice to the touch, but the pen didn't feel much different, and even 3 bubbles would constantly bother me. I just removed it. This was a waste of money and time. Even if it was installed correctly, it really wouldn't be worth it anyway.

Paper Feel Makes Writing On A Tablet Much Easier
The paper texture changes everything about writing on a Surface tablet. It isn't much for protection but it's perfect for creating a paper-feel surface. If I had one suggestion it would be that they add a better application tool. With a screen this large, it's hard to align and keep dust out.

Pro Surface Enjoyers!
I recommend this if you wish to use your microsoft surface pro as a notebook and if you’re taking notes. It feels smooth and soft. No noticeable scratches:)

Will destroy your pen tips
I have had a surface pro since they originally came out. Just purchased my 4th. Over the last 10 years I have definitely lost a few pens but only needed to replace the tip on one maybe two times (if it is even an option) I have never used a screen protector and really not sure it even needs one. I’m not hard on it and keep it in a case but also take it with me everywhere and definitely have accidentally dropped it many times but never noticed a scratch on any of them. The paper feel is so different I was so excited but put this on for one week and it already destroyed 2 different pens tips-(that do not have replaceable tips-but even if they did it wouldn’t be worth going through tips like that). One pen was brand new and the other I have been using for at least a year and the tip didn’t have any sign of wear until using it with this screen protector. I draw simple things like cartoon characters for kids books on my surface for roughly 2 hours a day so really not a ton of pen strokes..and it’s not just a little damage-both pens are now unusable. The paper feel is so cool but not worth the pen damage.

Pros and Cons
Anti-glare is a win. The Mircosoft surface pro screen is super shiny and the glare was awful, even if it looks brilliant...I end up with a decent installation, but it started with a lot of bubbles - TIP! Make sure to squeegee your bubbles with the top layer part still on.The touch screen and pen accuracy are great, no issues there. The writing feel is a no for me. It feels extra sticky and has too much drag, not the paper writing feel I hoped for. I definitely see it will be rubbing the nibs down fast. Some other nibs I tried, while they don't work with the surface pro, do move a little smoother over the screen protector.Unfortunately, I will keep using it for a little while until I find something better. If that doesn't exist, well, idk what to do, but the anti-glare is very helpful.

Matte Anti-Glare Rocks
Like all other screen protectors of this sort, this thing sucks to "install"; you have to work in a clean environment, your hands have to be clean, and your tablet screen has to be spotless. This is slow, tedious work, and you will almost certainly dork the first attempt; I strongly suspect this is why it's a 2-pack.Once you have the protector on, though, it works as advertised, and is well worth both the cost and the effort.
