So far these work great! They are generics and don't have the X pattern mold (the original is the picture) that the originals have but I don't notice a difference, and I play a lot with both to know. The top is soft slightly different but way better than not having anything there. Others have said it for the original analog stick that it made a clicking noise when rotated 360° but mine never made that noise to begin with so I have no idea what they are talking about. I highly recommend this product. FYI though, you'll need to look up instructions on how to install them if you don't already know because it doesn't come with any.

Generally speaking: this product seemed like a good idea at the time of purchase. I mean, I have 2 GC controllers with both sticks needing some general TLC, and the price seemed like a decent start.Welp. I got what I paid for, I suppose.I only needed the sticks, and for the moment I’d say they fit the bill, though looking at the innards of the caps themselves lack structure like the original caps, which definitely feels a tad bit off, but ultimately they work.Something that definitely needs to be noted is that the screwdriver that is included is definitely a double edged sword. While it was handy to use and allowed me to momentarily not break out my personal controller kit, I ultimately moved away from using it because of the flashing on the handle, which was really rough on the palms. It really feels like they just sorta cut off some it but didn’t want to cut further or sand it because, I don’t know, maybe they already put the branding on and they didn’t want to remove it? Maybe they just didn’t wanna ruin the gloss of the parts that didn’t have really have any flashing? I don’t know, but it did sorta make it less of a plus.I am probably gonna get different stick caps in the future, and I will probably be a little bit more astute about it.

Let me start by saying I’m not a hardcore smash player. I’m a casual GameCube player, usually playing one of the Zelda games, rogue squadron, or Metroid prime.The analog on my only 1st party GC controller was shot (see picture). This kit did everything I needed it to do. I can’t speak 100% for authentic feel of the texture of the joystick, but movement sens unhindered and I have that familiar “click” when the analog is hard over and returns to the home position. Provided you do one thing when you receive it....If you read other reviews you will see complaints about how you can see gaps around the analog and how the top of the stick rubs on the body of the controller. This is ALL TRUE, but super easy to correct. Simply place a small ball of cotton or tissue inside the hole in the bottom of the replacement analog. I used a small screwdriver to compare depths and added material until they were equal. This small step makes this replacement stick 100% functional and pretty darn close to the original.Only reason I’d didn’t give 5-stars is because this flaw should be corrected by the manufacturer, mods should have to be made right out of the box, but at least it’s an easy fix.

I've only found one other analog sticks I found I have equal quality and authenticity to the original. Which was 3.99 / analog stick. But you only get one primary analog no C sticks. And if you try and buy more than they are packaged individually even though they're shipped from the same place. Which brings the total charge for each primary analog stick to $8. So even if all you need is one primary analog stick this is still the Best Buy. Nothing wrong with having some extra parts lying around.

I am not going to lie to you guys I was scared to purchase these, I read nothing but the negative reviews and I kept thinking to my self do I want to take a 9.00 loss right now. I was searching around the internet for other options but everywhere I looked bad reviews. I took a leap of faith and made the purchase and wow can I say I am amazed. I dont know why other people were claiming that theirs did not fit their controller maybe they received some defects but mine are perfect too literally less than 10 minutes for me to change 2 controllers and they went trashy to classy within that time. I compared the feeling of my old C stick to the new One it felt the same no difference noticed. The joy stick feels good no spaces nothing holding it back or restrictions I am most likely going to purchase 3 more just to make sure I have them later on for the future. Do not second guess this purchase I have written alot of bad reviews in my time on Amazon and I am happy to say this is not one of those.So here is an update I have had these pieces a little less than a month, already they have basically withered away the once new feel that you got with your controller in gone there is no grip its almost like they are made out of the same thing pencil erasers are made from and the more you use them they rub away until nothing else is there. Very dissatisfied.

Quick installation, however putting it in stock had the joystick going too far down and required adding a buffer inside the joystick hole to allow the stick part of the joystick to hit the side of the wall instead of the top of the joystick. That was a quick fix but something that shouldn't have to be done.The real detriment to this product was after usage. Literally after only ONE, casual Smash Ultimate gaming session, the joystick already started falling apart. The top of the joystick was separating from the rest of the stick.Maybe I got a bad one then? Installed the 2nd one on a completely different OG controller. Fell apart after ONE SET. Something of this quality is embarrassing and quite frankly shouldn't have passed QC.

My Wavebird controller got chewed up, largely destroying the thumbstick. I was super disappointed until I found this kit. I only ended up using the one thumbstick, but the tri-wing screwdriver was exactly the right size and the replacement was super quick and easy (though I did briefly put some of the buttons back upside down!). Now I have more replacement parts ready to go if there's another chewing incident in the future!
