I bought this set for a relative, it is a very high quality product for the money paid and a good starter to open shaving for anyone ! The actual razor is easy for a beginner to handle, and its good weighted and the comb leaves space for you to angle where you wont cut yourself easily. It has a badger brush, mixing bowl and stand (looks great in the bathroom) I would say you will need to buy some shaving cream, it comes with 5 blades so I would suggest buying blades also and then you are litreally all set to go and you can add all the pre and post shave balms and any other products you desire etc as time goes on... The badger brush arrived with a chip in it (manufacturing issue and not the sellers fault as the packaging was all good) I contacted the seller who apologised and sent out a replacement (with a few extras) next day delivery. Could not be happier with the service and product, will be buying from them again and recommend them to friends and family.

Lovely product however I didn’t read that the brush was made with badger hair. We couldn’t have in the house knowing how that’s made. Stand amazing and fits a body shop shave brush.

This is a very nice presentation gift to give any man who is deserving of it. Basically what you have here is a well presented dark blue box with gold lettering and border on the top that folds out to reveal the items nicely nestled inside. We have an old fashioned (in a good way) heavy duty razor, a nice soft bristled brush made with quality badger hair, a bowl for the shaving soap or cream which is loose so that you can pick it up as and when, and a beautiful glossy metal stand with a weighty feel so it stays put, with a base that holds the razor up to dry, and the brush to hang over the bowl that sits on the base. If all the metal parts are made of good stainless steel and they do look it, then this is a quality set. The brush itself feels lovely to the touch on the skin. The razor takes double edged blades which are easily available. I used to use these blades all the time before disposable blades came into fashion. Maybe I should go back to these. As any man will know, a quality set of this sort needs quality time in the bathroom having a shave. These types of razors give a very good wet shave but of course need careful use. They sit in terms of safety between a plastic disposable razor and a cutthroat razor. If you regard your good looks to be invested in and see shaving as an art to be delicately carried out given due time then this set is definitely for you, along with a nice fluffy towel and maybe some aftershave balm, moisturiser and aftershave to go along with this. If you look at shaving as a real pain in the butt to be carried out as quickly as possible, then you don’t really deserve this, and a cheap tin of foam and any old plastic disposable razor is for you. The handle of this razor is a nice heavy duty contoured handle that feels great in the hand, this handle unscrews away from the base of the blade holder which comprises of two flat pieces of metal. The blade is set between the two metal holders and tightened with the handle screwed in. So to sum up, this set will prove a very classy and useful gift, and sat on a bathroom window sill will give off a look of individualism. At £29.99 I award this set four stars.
