Replaced our aging toilet seat with the CHURCH 585EC 346 Toilet Seat and what I like most is the simplicity of installation - it has easy clean & change hinges that actually work as advertised. The toilet seat can easily be removed for thorough cleaning without completely unscrewing the hinge bolts - just swivel the locking caps and presto the seat comes off!! Also, even with the easy hinge removal feature the seat is amazingly very stable. The CHURCH Toilet Seat is ideal for keeping an often neglected item up-to-date and functional.

Check it when it arrives
It was exactly what I wanted, unfortunately, it apparently arrived cracked. I didn't open it right away and when I went to install it, I pulled it out of the box and noticed the crack. It was shipped in the original box and there was no padding inside it to protect it during shipping. Unfortunately I'm out the money since I didn't open it before the return period. I've ordered another one and am hoping it will come in one piece and I won't make the mistake of waiting to install it again. Quality, design and comfort are good/as expected, the price seems high for what it is, but it seems higher quality than one I got at a big box store for a different toilet, hence why I'm trying again. It's replacing the exact same model that came on the toilet and we really like it, but after 8 years it's due for a replacement. I suppose if you divide the cost by 8 years, the value for the money isn't bad compared to others that have only lasted a year or two (or less).

Enameled wood may not be “solid wood”!
This is “wood”… But it’s sawdust, from wood, that is mixed with some sort of binding agent and is molded into the seat. This is NOT SOLID WOOD!!! This seat broke completely through on the left side. It pinched the heck out of the back of my leg! I’ve never ever had a wooden toilet seat crack or break in my entire 61 year life! I’m not super heavy either, I weigh 240 lbs.But because I bought it from Amazon, there’s not really any good way to get it replaced via warranty. And yes, it’s less than 9 months old.Because it’s enameled with paint, you don’t know it’s not solid wood.
