I’m going to continue to buy this brand. Apparently, I don’t have a DHA problem but I do have an EPA problem. My labs have always come back with good levels of DHA but not so good levels of EPA unless I take a supplement. I’ve decided to take only EPA since DHA can be synthesized from it. My last test from OmegaQuant showed EPA was 3.02% an increase from 2.42%. A jump of 0.6% which is quite significant. I will take this for life.

EPA by itself is better than EPA with DHA. And the 500 mg dosage on this is good. But of the 90 soft gels, about 30 end up in one solid squishy ball in the middle of the bottle. I have tried putting the bottle in the fridge to let them separate, but that 's not effective. The bottle is too narrow and should allow space for some digging tool to get to them. If they do break open from trying to remove them, that's a fist full of fish oil.... Please fix this.

Good product that I have chosen for fish oil. Easy to swallow which is smaller than regular fish oil products. No smell when swallow don’t chew!

UPDATE:The cap issue has been fixed! The last 3 bottles have had a cap that actually comes off.These have been great, no fishy aftertaste. No complaints about the product itself but the packaging is terrible. I had to pry off the lid the first time the issue occurred and ended up cutting myself on the metal lid. The second time I saved myself the hassle and just used a can punch to cut through it but then the container was useless. I've just been refilling the last jar that actually opened properly. I've gotten 3 in a row that felt like they were welded shut. If the packaging is improved, I'll revise my rating.

I wasn't able to take them out of container.I even ordered it when weather went to cold once, so I guess they were stored very warm/hot storage space in summer.totally wasted $24 plus tax😩😭

After reading reviews about how difficult the product was to open, I hesitated to order it however when it arrived the expiration date is 2025 (plenty of time to finish the bottle) and the top had a thin cellophane cover over the cap and beneath the easy to untwist cap there was another sealed layer, also easy to remove. I have not experienced fishy burps or any bad taste, just a slight pleasant lemon flavor. Apparently a great product, the only reason for 3 not 5 stares for value is this can be expensive in the long term if replacing an RX statin.

I have been using prescription Omega 3's for the past few years to control my triglycerides because they were out of control. The first prescription was for Lovaza, which contains a mix of EPA and DHA. It worked okay but DHA can raise your cholesterol level so I had to start taking atorvastatin in addition to the Lovaza. My doctor switched me to a newer brand (Vascepa) of Omega 3's that was pure EPA. This worked very well to control my triglycerides without raising my cholesterol. However, it is very expensive and I no longer have prescription drug coverage. So, I have been searching and searching for an affordable substitute since I have to take 4 Grams a day! I was extremely happy to find the Pure Essentials Ultra EPA, it is the closest thing to the Vascepa that I have been able to find and most importantly, can afford to buy. I have only been taking it for a few weeks but so far everything seems good. They are small so they are easy to swallow and I haven't gotten any nasty fish burps. I will update this once I have been taking it for a few months and get my triglycerides checked again.
