Taking Metformin at night. When I check my fasting sugar in the morning and it's above 115, I will take one or two of these caps depending on the reading and over a period of a couple of weeks now my sugar has been in the 90-100 range before and two hours after meals, so it is definitely having a positive effect. Berberine works wonders! I lost 27 pounds since August! I haven't had my glucose checked yet. I'm due back in November. I will have to return to update but this is a great supplement. I'm not trying to be on medication not insulin. My doc just diagnosed me with Type 2 diabetes and I started researching and came up with this item. Please start slow if you are taking Metformin or insulin and check your blood glucose. I have adjusted my diet. I am keeping a food diary. I started exercising regularly. This is NOT a diet, but a lifestyle. For the past 7 years I have struggled with managing my diabetes. Last year my doctor prescribed me Metformin to help control my blood sugar levels, but I didn’t see much improvement. After meals I was still struggling to keep my blood sugar levels in check and was developing insulin resistance. That’s when I decided to try Berberine since my friend recommended it. I have been taking this for the past few months and notice my blood sugar levels are lower. After meals they are around 130-100 approx 2-3 hrs after eating.I attached a photo of the pills and the powder inside. I previously tried other brands and noticed that their contents were not as bright yellow. I think it has to do with the % of berberine contetnt.I will gets my a1c levels in a few months. My last check was 5 months ago and I was at 6.7 and hopefully it will be lower. I def feel my diabetes is more under control.
