Excellent kettle
I'm impressed with the Fire-Maple company. Shortly after purchasing my 1L Fire-Maple Antarctic tea ketle, the lid slipped into a tiny slot in my camper van and disappeared beyond reach. I contacted Fire-Maple and asked if they'd please send me another lid. Instead, they sent me a new replacement kettle with lid. Such kindness! This is the best camping tea kettle I've ever owned. It's well made--strong; sturdy; with details including a handle that can lock upright during use or lie flat for saving space; the handles hold the lid in place during use; the lid is easily removed when hot; & the spout is designed to pour fast or slow without dripping (it has a well-controlled slow pour into a V-60 coffee cone). I have arthritis, and apppreciate that it's lightweight and easy to grasp and use. It's also easy to towel dry the inside after use, and it stores compactly (but I hang mine on a hook).I'm a van dweller and use this kettle daily to heat water. It heats fast thus conserving fuel. And, it's well-designed to go from conventional cooktop to camp stove to firepit. I will be puchasing all of my camping cookware from Fire-Maple. They're quality products and good folks.P.S. a handy tip: a mason jar lid fits perfectly as a replacement lid for the kettle if needed :)

Great pot for bushcraft kit
This pot is perfect for a bushcraft kit. The locking lid is tight and secure when latched. It's solid and well made with tight tolerances. It's not as light as a titanium pot but this will hold up to years of use without issue. I have a few Zebra Billy Bush Pots (the Firebox versions with the steel locking latches) that I thought were the best all around bush pots. I bought this Fire Maple pot on on a whim, figuring I'd give it a try and use it as a spare, only to have it become the pot I grab first now. The compact size, wire bail handle that folds down tight to the sides, and flat locking lid make it fit better in a pack than Zebra pots. Being able to lock the lid regardless of the bail handle position is a great feature. It's big enough to store a well stocked survival kit, boil almost 1.5L of water (it's actually bigger than the stated 1.2L), and make a sizable meal at camp. The included mesh bag is oversized and loose, but functional. The only thing that would make it better would be to include, or make your own, well fitted carry bag out of Cordura or canvas. Great pot, well worth the money. Hell, I think I just talked myself into buying another one... :)

Almost almost perfect
Great pouring control. Feels very solid. Made with high quality materials except the handle which doesn’t fit perfect over the metal handle but this is a small problem which I do overlook because the overall build quality.I am very pleased and highly recommend.Pouring in a freshly boiled water will keep the water for a few minutes at around 92-94 degrees Celsius which is perfect for the filter coffee for my case.

At last... Finally a real clever Billy can
I have a Snow Peak kettle 1, a zebra brand pot, a Stanley adventure pot and a couple of unnamed crap, even used a commercial stainless steel water pot for a long time. This Fire Maple Billy Can outwit all competition.
