Great hood for a great price
I honestly can't figure out why hoods are so darned expensive. This one works well, vents to the outdoors, didn't require any hard to find accessory parts and was a snap to install. It looks great with nice, clean, square lines and no goofy curves or frills. The light is bright, the fan moves enough air to keep smells and smoke out of the house, it isn't crazily loud (but not whisper quiet either), the filters snap in and out easily and the lights illuminate the cooktop well. I really like it. I had one dented filter in my box, but was able to bend it carefully back to shape - it's under the hood so I didn't really worry about it too much, nobody will ever see it.

a pleasantly different look!
didn't want the typical domed range hood, so this is a great alternative. installation instructions need updating, as they show screwing the back of the hood to the wall yet there are no holes provided, the hardware provided does not conform with the instructions, and they are incomplete (#7 in the ductless installation is missing?). ductless installation was very frustrating and it appears that the design is really intended for ducted applications. the pilot light does not work. regardless, now that it's up we love it.

Good Hood
We have had the hood installed for about 6 months now. No complaints.it looks nice and seems to function well. I wouldn't want one that is any louder than this one.
