Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  It works and it's relatively cheap. I just don't understand people rating it low because THEY AREN'T able to get it to balance. It's like someone who can't drive a manual transmission rating the performance of the vehicle poorly because they couldn't get it to work properly. I'll admit it was a bit tricky the first couple times but after that it's really simply. All it takes is a bit of patience and a gentle hand. I'll add a video of me doing it with one hand to prove my claim. Make sure to dampen any "wobble" or "bounce" otherwise it will probably snap to the magnet.I have mine on my desk and it stays afloat all day and overnight. Only times I have to reset it is if someone plays with it and like I said it's not hard.Overall, makes for an awesome desk decoration, dim nightlight, or just a talking piece as people who haven't seen one are usually wowed by it (at least briefly).

Initially I thought this was not working because i couldn't get the globe to "float" without it starting to wobble and stick to the upper magnet. But starting first with the included spacer to get an idea of where to place the globe and then feeling my way as to the correct position by feeling the right amount of pull from the top magnet I can now enjoy this globe for days at a time with it floating in air. A gust of wind or a small earthquake can set the globe to wobbling and then it is a short time to the thunk of it hitting the top magnet. But as long as things are still, it works great. Oh, one thing. The globe does not rotate. You can get it going if you very gently spin the globe, but more than likely this will start the wobble. And even if you get it started, the rotation stops after only a short time.

The stick inside helped my son to have it balance a lot easier. We love the nice looking globe so much . Ps: we didn’t take off the plastic on th globe when we first tried it.

Just not what i envisioned and it's very hard to get it set with the globe suspended. I thought it worked with opposing magnetic force from top and bottom, but it's hanging off a magnet in the top and you have to get it in just the right location to get it to hang and not pull up to the magnet or fall which is very hard to do. The electric is only for the light and it doesn't really light up the Globe very well

When I first bought this item, I was thinking it would be good for rotating like they say the moon does. But after getting the item set up, the globe started rotating for about 20 seconds and then the device made the globe bounce up and down, and then the magnet threw it off. I’ve got it to float, but it still won’t rotate. Argh!

This item makes a great addition to the office. It is relaxing to watch the globe spin around, and the colors look really nice. The device was extremely easy to set up, you plug it in and just have to finagle with the globe until its at the right spot. Finding the right spot takes a few attempts at the beginning, but you eventually learn where to place it.The only negative about this product is that there are no switches anywhere. You are unable to turn off the LED's on the base, or turn off the device completely without having to remove the power cable.

I was given this levitating globe as a Christmas present for my wife. I have always loved globes but never made an effort to owning one.I love the way this looks on my desk, It always amazes me how the globe floats in the housing. It's an eye catching piece for sure!I do wish the globe was larger so it would be easier to see the different countries, and also wish it consistently spun. After a while, it does stop spinning and floats only. You will have to reset the globe here and there so it maintains the spin.Either way, a neat piece of decor that add's some flash to a boring desk.

Not what I expected. Levitates, but sticks to top with very little disturbance.
