Pleasantly surprised
I wasn't sure what to make of this, as it wasn't staining anything and it wiped easily from my skin, so I wasn't sure how well this was going to stick, but I was pleasantly surprised. My hair was highlighted last year and I dyed over it at least 6 months ago and had been trying to grow out my natural color which is a medium ashy brown, so with the color fading and my highlights poking through my hair was like 4 different colors.I applied this to my reddish/brown colored hair - pic 1.It went on with a very purple/burgundy tone. Pic 2. And when I rinsed, the color looked grey at the bottom of the tub so I wasn't sure what to expect when my hair dried. The after (pic 3 in a ponytail) actually didnt change my roots too much which is fine because I expected my natural color from "Blazing Brown" which is described as ashy brown. Over the reddish brown, it turned much darker but still an ashy color and covered the reddish tones.Overall I'm very satisfied and my hair was suuuper smooth after rinsing, which is what the point of a "gloss" dye is?I have long hair to the lower back and still had some of the bottle left over, so great quality/result and price, especially for someone who has shorter hair and can get more than one use from the bottle.

don't use if you have highlights in your hair
I had blonde highlights until I got my hair colored a beautiful, rich mid-tone brown about 4 months ago. I've colored it brown now twice professionally at a salon, and love it for the first few weeks, but found it fades within a month or two since the professional brown color was applied over previously bleached hair. So instead of spending another several hundred dollars at a salon I thought I'd give a home semi-permanent glaze a go..Do not. This product is really best for natural brunettes or those who have never bleached or colored their hair in a way that opened the hair shaft. I had the color on my 10 mins as prescribed and it turned by ends BLACK. Blue-black to be specific. Then after 1 wash, they're a dark teal (as in this photo). It looks like manic panic and is uneven and patchy.Ease of Use: This product is really no easier than a regular home box dye. It gets absolutely everywhere, doesn't come with gloves to protect you from staining, which by god it stains everything immediately. My nails were dark blue/black for days and it immediately stained the marble in my bathroom.Packaging: The bottle is poorly designed and doesn't let you get the product out without crushing it, which rendered it impossible to use for future uses. The instructions were useless and said nowhere on the packaging itself not to use on highlights or that the bottle was 2-3 uses worth of product. No one is going online to read what a bottle should tell us. They cheaped out on packaging by not giving an external box with surface area for more text to explain how to best use the product and chose a poor bottle shape and hardness instead for a cuter aesthetic experience.Update:I had to spend 5 hours in a hair salon professionally removing this dye from my hair. It took the colorist 2 rounds of 1 hour applications of color extractor sulfur to pull the blue dye out. She stressed that this is not a semi-permanent dye if it is this difficult to remove. The labelling of this as a "tinted moisturizer for your hair" is super misleading and not true to the staying power of the dye on highlighted hair. This attaches permanently to highlighted hair. It cost me $400 to remove and color over. Won't use again.

Would Repurchase!
I just used this yesterday. So here’s the thing.I would definitely repurchase, it’s pretty great. The color, the shine, the softness, chefs kiss.I didn’t mind the smell, it wasn’t choking with chemicals like usual hair dye. It’s just a different smell but I didn’t mind it. It doesn’t squeeze easily out of the bottle so I did have to take the cap off and just dump it into my hand like a ketchup bottle. Which brings me to the other point down, you’re gonna need gloves. It stains like nobody’s business. It’s the next day and I’ve been scrubbing my hands at every opportunity and my nails are still stained so make sure to wear gloves. Trust me, just wear the dang gloves.I have shoulder length hair that’s pretty thick so I felt like I ended up using more than half of the bottle so if you have thick hair as well or long hair, you might need 2 bottles. It’s a pretty thick consistency so it’s not the easiest to spread through your hair, it took me more than the 10 mins of processing so I probably had this in my hair for a good 20 mins before rinsing it out. I did shampoo it twice, it took forever to rinse out and once I added shampoo it started to rinse blue but I think that’s just from the color of the shampoo and the hair glaze meeting, my hair doesn’t have any sort of blue tint to it at all. I noticed the softness right away. My hair feels like it had a deep conditioner treatment. It’s shiny enough that my husband noticed and he never notices anything so I would call that a pretty good feat.It feels and looks like I just had my hair professionally done. Despite having it on my hair an extra 10 mins I don’t feel like it made it any darker than I was expecting. Overall, I would definitely repurchase and use this again. Yes the application is annoying but it’s literally a one step process so it’s fine. It’s worth the end results!!
