3009796 Splash Stop Hitch Mount Brush Shield

Looks good, easy to install, but it only ships with one aluminum bar to hold one skirt/sweep. I had to order a second one and it too only had one aluminum bar. This is the same complaint as others have mentioned.

The lock bolt to securely keep it straight needed an upgrade to a hardened set screw

I give this two stars as all hardware was present and it shipped as promised. I can't rate it's performance as I haven't been able to use it. The bracket through which the hitch is supposed to slide is too small. I have spent around 45 min with my chain saw file working to remove enough material to get my hitch to slide through. I'm about half way and need to go buy a Dremel or something. I shouldn't have to go to this effort. Or they should ship this with a good file set.

This is just what i wanted. it is well made (( with one flaw, you need to crimp the end of the track the brushs slide into to prevent them sliding out )). You slid the assembled brush onto the hitch,clamp it, then slide the hitch into reciever like normal. It is at least 16 inches and on my cheve silverado it is in inch from road, just right. The brush is stifened by a 6inch brace. It is also quite adjustable in width to match truck, mine is set for 80inches

This is on the rear bumper to protect our jeep when we tow it behind the motorhome.

Box was damaged, not sure if all parts were really there. We had to make an extra wood piece to stabilize the product. The brushes fell out on our first outing. We have continued to use the remainder of the apparatus which provides some protection for our Rv.

DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND TIME REPACKAGING AND SENDING BACK! I ordered this item twice because the first one came without one of the 2 long strip mounting holders. On one of the reviews I noted this happened to someone else as well. So, to be safe, I held onto the first order in case the replacement came missing one of the mounting holders. Well, the second one came without ANY of the long strip mounting holders. So now both are completely useless to me and I've got to repackage both and take both to UPS for return.

Product arrived with missing parts that are special extended aluminum. Purchased in January 2022 for trip thru Alaska in May 2022. Only to find out there is 30 day return/refund policy. I just wasted 153.00. Just not right , poor quality control.
