So far so good. Last pocket watch I purchased at this price range ($20-30) died after two weeks. I have had this one for about a week and can say that this specific model is much more substantial and well built. Instead of a plastic case we have a very hard metal (steel?) and the chain is also a very good steel chain (instead of a weirdly discolored mystery metal I got with another brand).I mentioned this in an another review of mine but the customer is the QA department for cheap watches like these when the price is so low. With that said, having the “Free Returns” listed on the product basically guarantees a refund immediately upon shipping it back if it’s defective so if you can live with that, proceed further!With this purchase so far I will say that this watch exceeds all expectations. Time is accurate to 5 seconds in 24 hours. The power reserve has been tested by me to be beyond 26 hours (looks like it could have gone a few more past it). The winding mechanism is stiff and responsive. It tells you when it’s full by resisting your effort to turn it.DO NOT OVER WIND. Gently wind until it resists you. Treat it nicely and it should work forever. These things are sensitive. Even the expensive ones!Speaking of price. If I didn’t know this was a $20 watch, I would say it was probably 10 times that price. No exaggeration. I would have guessed this was a $200 or even $250 watch just by the build quality.Does this mean the watch you get will work? I don’t know. Probably! But who knows? Maybe I got lucky. I am super hesitant to give five stars but honestly so far, I literally have no complaints.If this does break on me at all, I will update my review like I did with my other watch review and call it “hot garbage” or something equivalent.For now, this is the best watch I have ever had that was a wind up pocket watch and I would buy five more if I knew they would work just like the one I have in my hand right now for at least two years :)

This design was unique enough that regardless of its low price, I decided it would be worth adding to my collection of vintage pocket watches. I'm glad I bought it. Runs about a minute fast each day when worn but keeps perfect time when kept wound on a table top. Cheap enough I can wear it everyday but attractive enough that I actually wear it every day without fearing breaking it. Actually has glass front and backings unlike almost every other cheap watch on Amazon. Chain holds nicely but the clip bends a bit too easily. It'll probably break with the mount of use it's getting. Update: 2 days after writing initial review..... neighbor's 30 lb dog jumped up on me and shattered the rear glass in my pocket.

This watch is everything I wanted it to be. I've had it a day now and it appears to keep perfect time which is unusual for a mechanical. Nice weight to it, seems sturdy, and has a quality I would expect from a watch that would be much more than $20.00. A bonus is a glass crystal (not plastic like most cheaper watches). I love this watch and I can't wait to wear it. Thanks.
