I have been using this insect repellent for many months now in Texas summer and outdoors. My kid attracts a lot of mosquito bites and insect bites. So I was looking for a good and effective insect repellent.After applying this I see far fewer insect bites sometimes none. My kid wears short sleeved t-shirts and shorts to school or for outdoor play.I'm not a fan of the scent. It's not the most pleasant but it's not too bad either. At least in my opinion. I think it's all right because it works. And this being DEET free makes a big difference for us.One doesn't find many products that are natural and work well. The bottle is a good size so traveling is good with it. We live in the suburbs with good amount of vegetation around. So lots of mosquitoes and gnats and insects.The one thing that I do for application is to first spray a good amount of it in my palm and then rub it on my kids arms and legs or ears or face. I also make sure to apply generous amounts to last the entire school day. My kid has a sensitive skin and also has mild eczema so I am very careful about applying anything on the skin lest it should cause any reaction or rashes. So I'm really happy that this product hasn't caused any problems for my kiddo.

Not that effective for us when we hiked in kings canyon trip

I was getting bit SO BAD at my office (yes, in an enclosed office building) from random mosquitoes. If there were a few in the room, they would be getting me so bad, my legs, my feet, my ears, everything. I had it so bad where I was itching constantly and couldn't focus on work. I tried "OFF" and other chemical sprays and they smell so bad and feel like I'm getting poisoned. I tried this one this morning and it seems "cleaner" and natural and guess what...Not ONE bite all day, and I see them flying around, so it's not like they aren't around. If I have any more updates, I will come back to this review and update.

Don't buy this product if you have a nose! I tried a test spray on my hand and the smell is so strong it made me nauseous. The clove smell is overpowering. along with other odors I don't recognize, but there is no way I would go out in public smelling this bad. Stay away from this!

The product doesn't get gunked up over time as you spray it. It smells really pleasant and doesn't burn on the skin. It starts working immediately. I do a misting all over the 3 year old and 6 year old from head to toe and no bites all season during heavy mosquito weather.The ingredients are cleaner than any other products I've found and this one works. We have it on auto delivery once or twice every other month. During the summer evenings we would use one bottle every two weeks taking the kids out to play every day.
