Waste of time and money. It’s a sham
I waited months for this beautiful opal to show up. I got it. They got the size right in the description and that’s about it. The real rock looks like natural glass and a nasty brown color. Keep looking for a more reputable seller. Read the other reviews.

Not what I expected.... It was actually better. 🤷
Pics never do justice.... But I'm happy with this stone, the fire and clarity is wondeful... It's just an absolutely beautiful stone!! Thank you so much!! Look forward to working with this stone to see what I can make!!

Is this actually opal?
From the pictures and the description its nothing like the what is shown. It doesn’t look like African opal the colors off. It looks like rock and resin. It feels more like resin mixed or layered with small pieces of rick then cut and polished.

First stone shipped not opal, waiting to hear from seller for new genuine opal
Ethiopian opal is hyrdrophane opal. It soak up water like a sponge. Lick your finger and press it to the stone and the opal will stick to your finger. This piece shipped did not do that at all, had no color in it, was smaller than advertised on Amazon. It was a piece of underdeveloped opal that looked like frozen peanut butter.I work with opal and if this piece would be one that I would cut off of an opal and throw out!Returned for a replacement......waiting to see if seller actually has any opal like pictured and closer to size advertised. The piece sent was not 27.55 cts. but barely 21 cts. Will update when or if new piece arrives.

Not high quality. No resemblance to picture.
I understood that this is a natural rock, so it would not look just like the picture. However, what was delivered looked like a rather plain, brown rock. Maybe it looked a bit like an agate. I looked at it multiple times, under different lights, before I notice a bit of the opalescence. Very disappointed.

Complete garbage, not an opal
If this is an opal, it is the lowest quality I have ever seen in my life. It is completely clear. There is no color whatsoever. I’m really not sure it’s an opal at all. It looks more like a piece of glass with some mud on it.

the product apparently depends completely on the seller
The stone I received is pretty good. It has 2-3ct of loose rock/mud and is packed in a small plastic box with fragrant oil.PLEASE NOTE: There are a number of sellers vying to sell "this" very specific product, either with very few and poor reviews, or as new sellers. I returned to the page to purchase another only to see the seller of my stone is not listed currently.
