The Complete Book of Essential Oils for Mama and Baby: Safe and Natural Remedies for Pregnancy, Birth, and Children

This is one of the best child-safe essential oil resources I have ever seen. It is easy to navigate and highly informative without rambling on and on. The appendixes, table of contents, and indexes, as well as quick reference guides in the back make this book almost as convenient as an internet search! I prefer hard copy books for reference guides and this one is fantastic. I recommend this to anyone who wants to help families with essential oils!

This book is awesome!The author really knows her stuff and has so much to offer. I love that it has the charts of dilutions for each age of child for essential oil safety on her main recipes for babies, kids of all ages. It makes whipping something up much easier during busy times of worry with illness. I just got this book and I already used it for the annual noro virus that made it's rounds here in the bay area. There was a cough suppressing chest rub blend and a air sanitizing room diffuse blend and hand sanitize blend for trying to keep the virus from spreading and bathing blends. I am sure there was more but that's all I had time to manage to make while being sick myself. I also am in love with her blog.. and I never have time to read blogs but hers has everything I need to make..My perspective: **since we live on the farm we don't have the desire to head into the city for every little product from Walmart or Target (Try not to support them). I always have my oil, essential oil kit.. instead of pharmaceuticals we keep from needing a doctor. The trick is.. be sick... stay home and take care of yourself or your family. A quick fix is not a training opportunity for your body to become stronger from the experience while getting sick and THEN GETTING BETTER NATURALLY is!Self thought: **Man.. I wish I had someone make it all for me every time I get sick....lol **

I was looking for information for using essential oils with babies. I was disappointed when I began to scan this book before reading and found the author's disparaging comments about "the company" that uses the purity standard "Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade." Then refers the reader to her "recommended" two essential oil companies to purchase essential oils. As a doTERRA product user and my research into doTERRA's "Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade" quality standards, I appreciate that they have corporately established what they believe to be high quality and testing standards. It is important to me that essential oils I use are free of contaminants and adulterations. I will continue looking for more essential oils books for learning of uses, but not ones that direct the reader to specific companies for purchasing.

I love this book!! I highly recommend it to anyone starting with essential oils or like myself who’s used them for many many years, but just had a little one and needed some guidance.The book is beautiful, very easy to read and follow. I felt very good about taking her advice; she’s really done her homework and is very conservative when it comes to infants and oils and I appreciated that.I love the breakdown for each age and all the very helpful recipes. We are loving the baby chest rub.I highly recommend this book for any new or not new mamma!I’m planning to give three close mamma friends them as gifts!

This book endorses two companies for oils, neither apply to me. So that makes me doubt the fact the book would hold any viable information

Not impressed by this book. I bought it because I am breastfeeding and i have little ones at home. I wanted to make it easier on me to find recipies I can use, since the book says its for mama ans baby. I cannot find anything on skin care for me. It mostly refers to recipes for natural birthing when it comes to recipies for mama.

When it comes to essential oils to use safely during and after baby is born, this book is thorough. There are easy to reference charts for a quick guide. This book also contains MANY recipes to help with whatever and it is organized according to the various stages of pregnancy and child age. I plan to take a look and the references in the book too for my own info, never done that before.

I LOVE this book. There is so much information to sift through online when trying to search natural or essential oil remedies to anything. I especially wanted to be careful while growing my baby inside my body to not trust just any information. This book breaks it down into easily searchable sections for pregnancy/postpartum/baby etc. and made me feel safe using oils while pregnant to ease the aches and pains, allergies, etc. that come along with it. I look forward to using it now that my baby is here on the outside as well.

This book is fantastic! The layout is awesome making it very easy to find what you are looking for and lots of really good information and recipes. I reference the authors website quite frequently for information regarding essential oil and children and was so excited to see she published a book! So happy with my purchase.

I was looking for a book that would help me use essential oils as remedies for the common stuff that we can encounter and this book is exactly that. I would even say close to an encyclopedia of remedies. I was impressed will definitely purchase for any expectant mothers looking to help in the natural way.
