Perfect, just what I needed. The threaded tip is very robust and is likely to outlast both the pole and lots of attachments. The inside diameter (ID) of my pole was 13/16 inch. The tip slid in easily until it reached two wedge ridges that are slightly less than 1/16" tall. At which point I used a hammer to tap the tip into the pole wedging it very tightly and slightly expanding the pole (see photo). The result appears to be a very firm and permanent installation. Before installation, I cut off about 1.5" of the old pole to remove the broken plastic screw tip. I did this because drilling out the dimples holding the old plastic screw tip was not effective without using at least a 1/4" drill.

I've long had a telescoping aluminum painter's pole, which was great for painting and reaching debris on my roof, being light weight. It had one weakness: the threaded top was made of plastic...and finally broke. I could not find a replacement pole like it...and in any case would likely have another plastic top; so I searched Amazon and found this replacement tip. After I laboriously got the remainder of the tip out of the pole end, I inserted this replacement, which fit perfectly. This tip has subtle ramp ridges at the top of its base that tightly wedge into the pole, to hold securely. I'm delighted with this find. As the millions of shipping containers coming into the country attest, Americans too often replace things rather than fix them. My appreciation goes to the company making this tip.

I bought this to replace the quick-release fitting for a 20yr old fiberglass extension pole for painting. I bought it knowing I would need to drill an appropriately sized hole at the correct location to adapt it for my pole’s quick-release mechanism. I’m happy to report that it worked great. The only other downside is that it’s made out of cheap pot-metal - which will eventually break too. I've used it twice for painting a ceiling - so far, so good.

This replacement tip is a perfect fit for my old extension pole. I drilled out the dimples holding the old tip base in, and used those locations to drill and tap for retain screws. Although, the fit is probably tight enough to hold it in, I preferred the added security of the screws.

Plastic threaded piece broke on Mr Strongarm paint roller extension. Perfect fix, only needed to grind down flat a part of the replacement

Was put into use 2hrs after delivery and they worked great for my painting needs.
