I’m highly impressed with this Neo Geo mini arcade cabinet. It is very cool and very well made. I purchased the international version and I may purchase the Japanese model as well for the alternate color scheme and different games. So on to the hardware, the lcd screen is absolutely gorgeous with vivid crisp colors. Games all look fantastic and play flawlessly. My only complaint would be trying to play this using the arcade stick and buttons feels a bit wonky and awkward but that can be easily fixed by just plugging in the mini controller. Which leads me to the controller. This controller is an exact match to the classsic neo geo controllers. It’s very comfortable and well made. The only thing they changed here was swapping out directional pad with an analog. At first when I picked up the controller and messed with the analog I thought it would be a bit awkward. But upon playing a game with it I was really surprised! It works very well with the games and I was shredding metal slug with no probs. The next thing that I’ll mention is connecting this to your tv thru hdmi. I’ve heard a lot of complaints saying it doesn’t look as good on a big hdtv. And I will have to disagree, I think it looks great. It has options to play in 16x9 or 4x3, and also has a graphic filter that smooths out the games and makes them look like an animated cartoon. Some people prefer the pixely look but I def prefer the smoothed out look. This is nothing but quality from the fine folks at snk. And it is a great way to own and relive these retro masterpieces. It’s also great to show off and display on yer video game shelf. Whether your new to these games or like me and grew up in this era and needed this, this is a great and fun lil machine and highly recommend it!!!

Aside from the cool fact that you can play full fledged Neo Geo game titles on a small, mini LCD screen, with the integrated joystick and buttons, you can also use a mini HDMI cable to play the titles on your HDMI compatible TVs or monitors.Emulation is great, with features such as 'save states', so you can literally pick up where you left off.The joystick is analog and is quite smooth. It works very well for Shoot Em' Up games, but can be awkward for some action titles as well as fighting games.All in all, a great purchase for Neo Geo enthusiasts who want the ability to play a curated list of game titles, without having to break the bank.

I like the mini console, tv mode is good but depending on tv resolution may have some issues.This international version is better in the us, excellent titles and good screen/joystick/buttons.

it would have been 5 stars but there is a thing that was not mentioned in the description of the item. So, it is powered by a USB C connection but the actual USB power supply is not included. So, when buying this, keep in mind, you will need to order one of those little USB power supply on the side. Other than that, no problems. Plug in and enjoy :)

Great its very good

This exceeded expectations! I bought this for metal slugs and discovered so e great fighting games. Lots of fun' even my teenage sons had fun with this system. If you like 90's video games this is for you!
