The Purina veterinary nutritionists recommended 46 grams of this food to my veterinarian. It's been working great & Tabitha the cat loves the food. She cleans her bowl eating all of this.

great food, feed it to all my cats now. not just my diabetic one. low carbs, high protein, very healthy.

There aren't a lot of food options for a diabetic cat, especially none that are light on the wallet. This was the lowest priced with a coupon at the time. My 18-yr old cat doesn't seem to love nor hate it. He does eat less now, so at least he's lost weight which was desperately needed. I don't know if that's because of the food or his age.On another note: Amazon canceled my original order without calling my vet. I ordered on a Friday, called my vet on Monday afternoon to see if they had received a request from Amazon - they hadn't. Tuesday morning, I received a cancelation notice from Amazon. I called them, and they said they couldn't contact my vet. They hadn't even tried. The lesson I learned is to not order on a weekend because they only try within 24-48 hours.

Caring for my sugar cat is very important to me; she has been with me for many years and this is helping me have more years with her. I like the fact that subscribe and save provides her food on a regular basis and for less than it costs at the vet. The process was fairly simple. I obtained a written RX from my vet and shared it with Amazon via chat. Just know that even though the RX was submitted during chat it still must be verified by the vet's office before fulfilling the order. Glad to have finally made the change.

The media could not be loaded. My diabetic kitty Taz LOVES this food, along with the matching wet food! I am so thankful our vet recommended it to us and gives us approval so quickly after we order. The bags are a good size, not too big that it’s too heavy to carry in the house, but also not too small that I’m going to have to buy another bag in a week. The food is a little pricey, but all prescription pet food is, and if it keeps her around longer, I’ll pay as much as necessary. I would really like if they made the bags resealable, but I’m not taking a star away for that. We just fold the top over them put a clip on it. I will add a picture of the bag later today!

I didn't actually try this myself, but our vet recommended it and while I was worried our cat wouldn't eat it, that was not a problem. She has gained some of the weight she lost due to diabetes. It suits her digestion as well. Kind of expensive, but you knew that already.

My diabetic cat actually liked it and ate it without complaint. Super helpful with maintaining her condition.

This new low carb, high protein cat food seems to agree with our cat.. Seems like she goes longer between feedings. No problems switching from previous brand...
