They were no good!
I ordered these ahead of time so that when I ran out I would have more since I'm a bad diabetic. Was on vacation and used my last one from another bottle, so I opened these, put them in my testing kit, threw away the box, and went about my business. Which included throwing out the trash and the box they came in. That night when I went to test my blood sugar I could barely get it the test strip to suck up the blood. Took a bunch of tries. When it finally did it read 69. Knew that could not be right so I tested it again. Same problem getting it to suck up the blood and then it read 72. Two more tests with the exact same results. So I changed bottles and those wouldn't even suck up the blood. Had to go to WalMart and buy one bottle for more than the two combined on Amazon. Now I'm back home from vacation and it says that it is too late to return them. Apparently I had less than 30 days from when I received them. I'm thoroughly disgusted and will never trust ordering them from Amazon again. And I gave it one star because zero stars isn't an option.

very likely counterfeit
The product is easy to use. I have used the brand for years. But for the last couple of years I was getting consistently (and enviably) low numbers without taking any medication. Of course I was thrilled, but the numbers seemed low for my A1C, done at my doctor's office. Recently I was reading about how to spot a counterfeit batch of test strips. BINGO! Obvious re-packaging was the tip-off. I went to my local Walgreens and bought a full-priced (OUCH!) batch of test strips. I compared my results for several days with my new test strips, and with my husband's CVS testing system. They were both about 20 points higher using the same drop of blood! Yikes! I had been using bargain substitutes for about two years, and of course my dietary habits suffered accordingly. I would have given the product zero stars, were that an option. Be very careful if you buy a discounted product, and be prepared to do a comparison test as soon as you receive it.

Don’t buy
These were trash. Marked not for the USA but we tried them anyway and they would not read

Did i receive the wrong freestyle lite teststrips?
Very upset. Bought these in July and just opened the first box today. I am getting ridiculous results that I know are wrong. They are 20 points lower than normal. The containers don't look the same from my last one. Anyone else having this problem? Not happy and it's too late to return them!!

Notice on bottle cap
I like this item & happy w/the supplier but has anyone noticed pressed into the caps of the containers it says: “NOT FOR SALE IN USA” + there is a separate printed label over the original label & it does show manufacturer as Abbott Diabetes Care but in the United Kingdom (England). So unsure what’s going on here but again I am happy w/the supplier & test strips seem accurate + I ordered 4 boxes in 2/2019 & they don’t expire until until 8/2020 which is excellent. Only thing I can figure is this item is cheaper in England & by buyin there & selling here a little bit of money is made.

Easy to use and reads accurately.
I've been using the same FreeStyle Lite glucometer along with the test strips for many several years now. I've had diabetes for almost 30 years now and have used different glucometers but none for as long as this one. Whenever I would need to replace it, I would get another FreeStyle Lite. The strips are part of what makes it so good. Only a small amount of blood is needed because the strips have a tiny wicking portion where the blood port is. All that's needed to be done is make sure that little wick touches the blood drop. There is a drawing port along with the wick on either side of the strip which makes it easy to use for either hand. Even if you didn't get enough blood to make the glucometer read, you have enough time (60 seconds I believe) to acquire another blood drop.

Four times cheaper for the same product
I don't understand people who get spooked by "not for sale in USA" on a cap. It is common knowledge that American pharma rips off Americans and sells the same products abroad for fraction of the cost in USA. Of course Abbott will tell you not use this product. Both made for USA and made for EU strips are made at the same factory in Ireland. As for accuracy even strips from the same jar will have at least +/- 5% spread, so it is not surprising that there is some discrepancy. Mayo clinic says that if your test results are within 15% of a lab test your home meter and strips are just fine. There are many variables when you do your blood test, so if you want to check for accuracy get yourself control solution and check strips from the same jar and from USA and EU made. You will find out that EU ones will give you the same results.
